I realized I made a mistake. I confused the sab saballian controversy with that of the marcionite controversy. Sabaliana were essentially nontrinitarian, as were marcionites. However it was the marcionites who believed in a difference between the OT God and the NT God.

However, I encourage anyone with a kind that can learn to do just that. I'm learning Greek and there's a sense of depth, cohesiveness and clarity that I never experienced in English. That said, if you can't, be of a good heart and don't engage in legalism or judgmentalism with others and you're golden.

Great video! Very edifying. 😊 Also one the best messages I've seen on the wasted life is the sermon "Vain regrets" in the book Spiritual Depression by Martyn Lloyd Jones. The whole book is worth reading, actually it's one of my favorite books of all time because it's not only about depression but in fact about how to live the Christian life well. It probably needs to be retitled someday. But anyway that sermon "Vain regrets" is specifically addressed to the question of a wasted life or past regrets or similar. Very encouraging to read. And besides we have a God who can "restore to you the years the locust has eaten" (Joel 2:25). John Piper also has the book Don't Waste Your Life primarily addressed to younger people, but he also has an Ask Oastor John question to an older man in his 60s or 70s who asked what if I've already wasted my life? It's titled "I've already wasted my life - now what?" And it's available to listen to or read for free online. May the Lord have mercy and bless us far more than we deserve or expect, especially those who feel they may have already wasted their lives!

Awesome to hear how you have been learning! I started right at the beginning of Covid. I found a Dallas Theological Seminary course that was free to watch through that went through Mounce's Grammar + workbook. I found "auditing" a course is really helpful because you get instruction from a teacher and also get to watch students ask questions, make mistakes, etc: and it feels more engaging then just doing it all solo. I then watched the Master's seminary 3 + 4th semester Greek on youtube while trying my best to do the homework without a syllabus lol. It might be worthwhile for you at this time to try and use that if you think it's a good time, it focuses on reading and applying Wallace's Greek grammar beyond the basics. I was able to do 1 year of seminary and tested out of first year Greek just from my self-study which was really cool and took a proper 3rd and 4th semester there. I would say I'm intermediate/beginning advanced but it still feels like there is much to learn haha. Sounds like you are doing great, and I really appreciate your comments at the end of the "reason" we are learning the languages, to better read and apply God's word in our lives! Blessings on you brother.
