Hi Eric thank you for making this video. Can you tell me the circumference of the quick blade paddle board shaft? I'm trying to see if it will fit my hand properly and not be too thick or too thin

This is an excellent explanation of a pivot team. Most videos just tell you the mechanics of doing the turn but don't explain how and why! Great job!!

Ofcourse: Hawaii’s Canoe builders ship worldwide. Theres also the cheaper Chinese v bagged outriggers and for beginners (outrigger canoes are hand made carbon fibre athletic boats and not cheap) some might prefer that route. The builders/designers all have online websites. Know what your needs are. There’s flat water builds and rough water builds. Certainly different size outriggers although hull width variantions are minimal: having the correct fit maeks all the difference in safety handling and enjoyment. I paddle a Kai Wa’a - his latest model is a flat water model; mine is the Ares (probably most popular but a couple years old). Kai Wa’a is in Maui; I think Puakea designs (good boats) are both in Hawaii and US Mainland; Hoku & Ozone also ship worldwidie. Know your weight too.spend time w/ ocean paddler; kanu culture; various sources that will be helpful. You are looking at a minimum $5k USD outlay to get up and running. Depending on how much other gear you need (travel racks for auto; paddles; accessories; add just another $1K total). Much less than the motor jst skis and much healthier for you and others around you above and below the surface. Social Media have 2nd hand buy & sell groups. If you are complete beginner - you are looking for either an OC-1 (1 man outrigger canoe) OC-2 (2man) or surf ski ( similar hull w/out outrigger). have fun.

Nice man ! I just picked up a Hobie sup 9’8 with 156 L of volume .. now I’m a Short board rider and a longboard rider never been on a SUP lol today was my first day out perfect waste high + to learn on a SUP for me today . I must say I fell off many times for the first hour before getting the hang of it caught 4 nice waves with it today I was just out for 3 hours exploring the banks looking for new breaks to surf at ... Thank god for my surfing skills because this size board is definitely not for a beginner ! Lol 13 ft would of been very floaty but I wanted some thing on the high performance that I could still Rip on so went with the 9’8 .. I was talking to a high that was on a 8’6 and was 60 lbs heavier then me and he was rippin on the waves but he had been SUP ing for a long time .. just need more board time and I think I’ll be loving it even more .. but it was super Fun !!
