All the doctors didn't misinterpret the CDC guidelines of 2016. The CDC was the cause of doctors instantly stopping patients from receiving pain medication instead of slowly tapering. The CDC is now lying and doctors are cowards for not standing up for their patients.

The overall goal still is to get EVERYONE off of opioids… pain be damned. This is not patient-centered care, this is an anti-opioid group with an agenda, and it does not care at all what is actually best for the patient. Just get everyone off of opioids, and their pain will magically disappear? If that was really true, then why was my pain from EDS so horribly persistent long before more than one of my doctors strongly encouraged me to start taking opioids in order to help me be more functional & improve my quality of life? I never wanted to take opioids, but when I finally agreed to, my life improved dramatically. Why is that? It’s because I had chronic body-wide pain, and the opioids were relieving that pain, thus allowing me to be more functional. They think Haldol & Ketamine are the answer? The former isn’t in any way indicated for pain, and the latter makes you disassociate. Then there’s buprenorphine. How can THAT be the answer when it’s literally an opioid itself? It’s also much more addictive than standard opioids, and interestingly enough, many of the “anti-opioid” wackos are funded by the makers of bupe. Chronic intractable pain patients are “unaliving” themselves rather than suffer the literal torture of untreated or under-treated pain. Our government knows this and they’re completely ignoring it. Where is Congress, and where is the ACLU?

We are so far past “don’t force taper or dismiss a patient.” Are you guys that out of touch with reality? Daily we hear from dozens of pts who were stable and now can’t even find a dr. You can’t be this clueless. You’re killing people.

ACEP, Legislation is NOT "popping up" everywhere erasing physicians from the equation. Fake news ACEP. And you know it. Legislation is OCCASIONALLY being passed which instead BRINGS care to underserved populations (rural communities, low socioeconomic status, veterans, home health, hospice, etc.). In other words, populations of medicine in which most physicians do not desire to practice. Physician assistants ALWAYS have a physician assigned and leading patient care. In 11 states, nurse practitioners are also required to be supervised by a physician. However, nurse practitioners do not practice autonomously in emergency medicine. This is known to your organization. Yet your organization still spreads misinformation. What is the purpose of your message? Is it to spread discontent among the medical team? Is it to make people fear being treated by a PA/NP? Is it to demonstrate some more false support for the EM physicians you represent? If you really want to do something for your EM physicians, why don't you start here: 1.) More pay (hospital administrators can take a pay cut!) 2.) Shorter shifts 3.) 30 minute lunch breaks (2 per 12 hour shift) 4.) Less documentation 5.) 2 physicians on shift during peak hours (where I work that can be up to 5 patients per hour) 6.) Support for malpractice claims This video is the equivalent of insulting someone else to make yourself feel good.

This woman is a vicious nightmare. Do not go anywhere near her. This is a fake voice- the one that she uses on her vulnerable patients is a scream. She stamps the Hippocratic Oath out of existence. The only honest thing she said is she's incapable of working "under" people. Can’t get to the rest of the hospital without going through the ED

My left hand all the way into the shoulder has ached terribly. That started on Wednesday. Thursday, there was heat beliw the elbow and above it. I considered going to the ER. My yhought was "it's just the weather, some rain is coming." After I worked on Saturday, I was aching in the left side of my back. The aching was causing a stomach ache. (There's a certain kind of ache/pain that upsets my stomach. Always has.) Went to the ER, they did x-ray of back, drew 4 tubes of blood, and EKG. Labs, x-ray, and EKG all came back normal. 🤷‍♀️🙄 They gave me shot for pain (no narcotics. Thank you Jesus), and a muscle relaxer. I still ache. ??????? Not sure what to think. I'm also cold.

For no reason some veins on top of my left hand started hurting bad today, cramp like pain that goes all the way up a lil above my elbow, the arm has 1 lil reddish patch of skin and 2 random bruises, i got a new cough that came with chest pains especially while breathing in, random shortness of breath and rapid heartbeat.
