@@loc7909 I mean, to be fair that’s kind of a fundamental misunderstanding of how souls games work. You substitute attacks with heals. You only heal when it’s safe to attack, because if it’s safe to attack it’s safe to heal generally speaking. (Obviously not the mid waterfowl attack I do)

Firstly, I understand what you're saying. However, I think you're misunderstanding what people say when they say things like, "this fight is easy". It's referring to your third(?) point. This is nowhere near one of the hardest fights in gaming. I would be so bold as to say it's not even top 50. Not to say the fight can't be difficult, but people just writing it off as being difficult because they don't understand it is a huge issue. Relatively speaking, it is an easy fight. Not just for me, but comparatively to more difficult fights in gaming. She telegraphs her moves, doesn't use delayed attacks really, once you understand how to dodge waterfowl I would say this is GENUINELY easier than 80% of the other remembrance bosses in this game alone.

Elden Ring is my first souls like game, I like its lore, graphic, atmosphere, etc. But I don't have days and weeks to study all movesets of all boses, I just want to have some fun on weekends. And I managed to defeat all the bosses until this point more or less normally, here I used magic, there I used summons, one weapon or another, close fight or ranges attacks, I always could find a way to win. But with Malenia - it is a nightmare. I cannot defeat her for 3 nights, I tried every weapon, every tactic, and still cannot move further than first half of second phase. I hate it. Gosh I will broke my PC.

​@@CostaSparrow I'm not saying that's not a valid feeling or opinion, but if I were to compile a list of what I consider the top 50 hardest bosses in gaming then she would not be on there, or near the bottom. As for your other points, that's also fair. I can understand the difficulty but I don't think it's fair to hardcore players that everything has to be achievable so easily. There is most definitely a balancing act to be had, but if everything was easy enough for everyone to beat then there would be no enjoyment to be had (particularly from a game like this) and if it was too hard for anyone to beat then that too would be no fun. My biggest takeaway from the comment above is that I don't understand the point in approaching the fight with a mindset like, "this is so unbelievable difficult and impossible, etc etc etc" I think it's better to grow and learn and adapt. Absolute worst case you come up short and there is nothing wrong with that.

She’s remained the same. It genuinely comes down to how you play against her. Your behavior influences how she fights, in a weird hard to explain way.

@@luc1 I've pretty much got her down to a dance at this point, I guess ill respec and try RoB I've been trying to avoid it so far.

If you are trading hits with her then you are being too greedy. Wait for her to do punishable attacks like the scarlet rot butterfly attack. Only go for two attacks max. If you need to heal wait for the butterfly attacks or try to run away so you can be a safe distance from her. She definitely has a quite a few attacks that you can punish.

Instead of Mimic I used Black Knife Tiche and it was a bit more effective for me!

@@luc1 ohh I think you misunderstood me , I meant after the fight , there’s just a big flower thing in the center of the room . Do you do anything with it ? I didn’t beat her until I had got all the way to Radagon so if there’s some dialogue I’m sure I missed it 😂

You can roll or sprint backwards if you’re far enough away already

@@alanmacdonald1457 Nope. Spear is just used to demonstrate unique attack opportunities. Every single weapon is viable against her using strategies outlined in the video. I just can’t (obviously) showcase me fighting her with EVERY weapon in the game. If you use the principles here with any weapon you should be fine
