This channel helped me through my dissertations for my PhD. I’m naturally unorganized 😂so I learned to organize my life. Now I’ve graduated and also have those two little letters in front of my name😊. Salam from Indonesia . Thank you DrBlue 😊

I’m so mad I didn’t find this sooner! For *MONTHS* I’ve been stuck trying to find a way to layout giant to-do lists, vitamins/self-care trackers, AND motor racing schedules which I thought “Of course I’ll never find examples I could use because who’s adding races to their calendars?” Seriously, this is the first journal video I’ve come across that actually has the stuff I’ve been searching for and I’ve been looking for nearly a year, just writing on loose papers because I didn’t want to ruin my expensive quality journal with something I had no idea how I was going to organize or layout.

Really interesting! Would love to know where you are at with your planning journey in 2022-2023. I think we all change so much over time and hopefully we all find what works best (unfortunately, never perfectly) for each of us.

So I take it you are not a doodler? Doodles can fill those spaces as well as the word "Space". If 'Space' has a negative connotation to you, try stickers, positive affirmations or an image on a postcard (like before) to fill in areas. That space is there for self expression/reflection, gratatude....you worked hard on the "to dos" so let creativity flow where there is room. You'll find your happy medium and it'll change again because that is life. Keep up the good work.

"Mind Sweep" - I like that a lot. I love the usefulness of a brain dump page but I've never liked the name. Mind Sweep is a lot better, I think.

What pens are you using in this journal?

Just to throw this out there - I use common spiral bound school notebooks for my daily scribble. When it’s filled up I take an hour to flip through it and pull out any relevant data I want to transfer to a reference book, then I pull out the pages, shred them and toss the covers. Nice thing about paper, it’s biodegradable. My reference books are all ring binders so they’re easy to purge too.

I can so relate to piles of unused books and planners. I’ve given many to my kids but honestly still feel guilt over the money spent. I think I have my system down but ...that pile of guilt in a box. I think I can rip pages out and donate or recycle somehow. Mostly I’ve gone back to use some for scrappy junk note taking. Anyways just thought I’d let you know that I totally identify with a lot of what you said. Solidarity.

I just want to say that this was one of the first videos I watched to get ideas for my BuJo and how serendipitous is it that I see the same video again after what seems like an eon! Again after watching it I just smiled and didn't waste any time to thank you for your ideas. You pack in quite a lot for such a tiny book and I think that its inspiring. Thank you so much for your video. Your spreads are great and so well organised. I hope to see more of your journal. If you haven't already gotten your PhD I wish you my absolute best in your every endeavour! Many many hugs!!

Great setup! I gave up on BuJo for a while because I found the notebook (Leuchtturm) too big to carry around. I didn’t think it would work well in a smaller size. But your video shows it can. Thanks for making this!

This is fantastic organization!!! I got some great ideas. I suffer from anxiety and depression and have tried to setup mood/health trackers and have generally made them too complicated so I never used them. Your simple format is brilliant!!! I'm going to try your health tracker layout. Thank you! I love this size Moleskine. So easy to carry around.
@drblueplans22155 жыл бұрын
Mike Wadley i also suffer from anxiety and other mental health, i do have to admit i didnt keep this going for very long, i was to obsesed about filling in the pages! The key is definatly not to over complicate it and to be consitant but then have a system thats felxiable enought to handle skipped days! Good luck! It might be a constant fight to do the little things but we always come out the other side!

Wow. I know you've probably shifted what you do since this went up, but stacking the trackers for the month like that is brilliant so you can see if things correlate and might have a causal relation. I'm going to try that next month!

This was super helpful. How do you get this so structured an clean. I always held myself back from really starting a bujo, ( just add sections to the normal planner) because my lab journals always look like a hot mess, as well. Do you sketch everything before, or do you have a recommendation to get the spreads in order?
@drblueplans22156 жыл бұрын
Sayuri Kitamura i drew a box, so i leave a gap for a title, then draw a box/boarder then fitted things in around that. I drew in pen but had a clear plan of what i was going to do! Many spreads are the same designs so it was just repeating that once i had a few “templates” but i never drew them out to far in advance this helped me always change it up when i needed/felt like it...however not having spreads ready to go might have been this systems downfall!
