Hi Garry ! It's so successful that I would like to shrink down and sit in the driver's seat.

Is anyone having problems with the airfix website, for some reason it won't let me do anything including trying to renew my club membership!!

You did an amazing job with this model kit mate! I am amazed! Important question 🙋 does the set come with stickers if I bought it? Or do I have to paint the x wing?
@garys_stuff18 сағат бұрын
It comes with stickers as well.

Hi Gary, I've almost finished building a "Katy" and now I think it'll need a diorama to sit on. Maybe a "Carlsberg this way" sign instead of Mines Keep Out 🤣
@garys_stuff2 күн бұрын
Ha ha, maybe "Carlsberg 600km" or whatever the distance was...!

great and beautiful news! I would like to buy the Macchi 200 in 1/32 scale but it is a little too big for the space available in my house, however I will definitely buy another G-91 in 1/48 scale (maybe to paint in Portuguese colors), the Mirage 2000 nuclear in 1/72 scale is very "inviting" and finally what I have been waiting for years: another M-47 to be built with the muzzle brake of the T-shaped gun.

Good result Gary, it doesn't look like a totally straightforward build so thanks for the review. I've got one of these in my stash with some aftermarket undercarriage legs, resin wheels and decals, so hopefully I can do it justice.

is this one of the new tooled versions ? hornby says its going to take another 4 years to get all the die plates recast to suit the new 7 million hot injection investment made in 2023.' i only know the 2024 the buccaneer has been coming off the new plates and that been a superb improvement in fine detailing.
@garys_stuff4 күн бұрын
I don't know what these new "die plates" are. Each tool is made from new by toolmakers in China using EDM and other technologies to create the moulds. They aren't cast, they are machined and etched. Almost a definition of what we loosely refer to as "new tool" kits are those produced from brand new moulds. So, last year the 1/72 Liberator, 1/48 Bulldog, 1/72 Chinook, 1/48 Lysander, 1/72 Bf-109, 1/72 P-51 and many more were moulded from brand new moulds. I'm not aware of any new moulds being made of previously available kits, apart from occasional reverse engineering for parts in a Vintage Classic release (e.g. the transparent parts of the Bond Bug). I've asked Airfix if they have any more information that would clarify this. I'd also be interested to see where this £7 million investment was made as the bulk of Airfix kits are moulded in India. Of course, the 1/24 scale Spitfire IX and VIII are moulded at Newhaven.

I await the planned re-issue of the 1/72 CH-53E Super Stallion kit. It was on the Italeri website, slated for last year.
@davidhinkson88565 күн бұрын
That Lancia Fulvia looks good and somewhat completes the line up of Lancia rally cars in their range. Hope it's an all new model and not an old Esci kit, but those Esci kits are appealing because of the subject matter.

Some interesting but there Gary. I need to really work through my stash first though. I believe I am right in saying they work with Warlord models to make their armour in wargaming scale 1/56. I have just built an Achilles Tank Destroyer and it was quite well detailed in my opinion. Halfway through a Saab 39 so might have a closer look at the two seater version.

@garys_stuff they are indeed. We lost our last " baby" girl two years ago at age 24. For years she helped me build models I occasional still find a fine cat hair in my old model builds. Or she laid across the laptop as my wife was attempting to develop her class assignments. No box was too small for her to squeeze into. 1/72 scale was a bit tight. You should have them make a guest appearance on Monday Matters. Cheers Bob in the colonies.

Also a new box for the tornado in 32nd scale (IDS/Gr1) with desert paint scheme. I bet for italian "Operation locusta", and british "operation grandby". About the macchis, Saetta and Folgore are quite synonymous, but Saetta is more like thunderbolt, (vey noisy stroke of light).😄
