The only reason we haven't found one that is 300.000 years old is because they're lost due to age, or waiting to be discovered. If we call humans from 300.000 years ago anotomically modern human, then we have to specify why would they be unable to develop the ability to tell stories through images. Heck, I would expect other species to do the same at a much older date like half a million to a few million years ago. That's the only logical expectation.

It's funny that people will dismiss newer evidence that humans had art and societies thousands of years earlier than thought. But they believe older science that they learned in grade school.
