Go by the ranking of the elementary school because students are allowed to drive to the high school they apply to. So a student can live near one high school like Manchester but go to James River. So you do not get a good idea of the area by the high schools. The ranking of the elementary schools really tells you the makeup of the neighborhoods in the area since no one chooses their elementary school unless they are special ed and need some type of specific assistance. Such as hearing impaired students no matter where they live in the county all go to Gates Elementary since the hearing impaired teachers and helpers work there. I know I work for the School System in the county

I went to school and lived in Richmond for 10 years and it has changed in some parts for the better and worse. Broad Street has undergone a dramatic transformation and I live the development. The biggest issue I had is the gentrification of Jackson Ward and the stark contrast of have and have-nots that still exist. Also if you are over the age of 35, options for nightlife are very limited. The "bottom" has also gone downhill in terms of nightlife options.

First off, this was a great and very informative video, my friend. I really wanted to move there and still do more-so then ever. Seriously. Awesome-Awesome, place.
