I am so very very happy to know Biltmore was not seriously damaged in the storm. My heart would have been broken ✝️💟. Biltmore is so special, especially at Christmas time. Many years ago I worked answering the phones taking reservations for the Christmas event and it was one of the most memorable things I have ever done. I spoke with people from all over the world- such a blessed memory. Merry Christmas to everyone and May our New Year bring peace to our hearts and homes. ☃️🎄

I remember vividly going with my grandparents and mom when I was 5. I had the most amazing time! The birth ceremony, the photo ops, seeing all the dolls. Was amazing. Still have my cabbage patch and my daughter is getting one for Christmas. ❤

Great review! Few questions though: Do they have a complimentary shuttle from the MSP airport? Do the rooms come with free breakfast? And finally, was there a reason why you chose not to use their wi-fi? Thanks!
@WanderfulWorldofTravel2 ай бұрын
There is a complementary shuttle from the airport. I believe it’s on the hour and a half hour, however, you do need to text a number to let them know that you need a space on the shuttle. Call the hotel for the current number to text. The rooms do not come with a free breakfast, there is a restaurant where you can purchase. I chose not to use their Wi-Fi simply because I prefer to stay off of a public network if data is sufficient.

Thanks for the tour! I used to live fairly close to Yosemite and visited the Ahwahnee dozens of times. While I’ve never stayed a night at the Ahwahnee, my friends and I would visit the dining room in winter. Hiking opportunities in Yosemite in winter are very limited. So we’d just take the YARTS bus from Merced, have lunch at the Ahwahnee, walk to the Yosemite Lodge for pictures on Cooks Meadow, and take the bus home again. Especially beautiful during Christmas time and if there is snow on the ground. The Christmas decorations at the hotel are superb!

I enjoyed the Valley Lodge. We were there in August 2024. The room would be about 82 degrees when we would arrive each afternoon. We used the fans and brought a box fan with us that we donated. The room cooled down quick and we were very comfortable.

This looked like a perfect stay for us coming into Orlando, but pricing was 500+ per night, that was a bit much for my budget.
@WanderfulWorldofTravel3 ай бұрын
Agree. When we stayed it wasn't nearly that much, but was definitely more expensive than other area hotels. It is a really nice hotel but for that amount of money, not sure it's worth it. Still annoyed they made you pay for internet use on their computers unless you were printing out a boarding pass. At those price points, you should be able to use the business center without a fee.

I visited the Inn years ago - I don't recall those sorts of prices. Did your guides talk of the history of the place? That is what I most recall. The staff and tour guides I met were very nice. Mind you, that was maybe 30 years ago. I recall an OLD elevator, I used an electric wheelchair. I enjoyed the visit very much. Probably a great place to visit for geology and industry and history interests.

So sweet! I got my first CPK in 1986 and I still have her along with her adoption papers. However, I went to Babyland General for the first time in 2021. I adopted a new baby from there and I have been going back every December since then. My sister has given me 3 more CPKs so I now have a family of 5.

Very nice property to walk daily and the buffet in the AM and dinner was excellent. We stayed nearby at the Cable Mountain lodge. In my opinion, it is the very best place to stay. You will certainly save money over the Ahwahnee. You can walk there to the property in a few short minutes.

great video, now the downside. You cannot book on the website because the hotel allows places like Travelocity and competitors to buy up all the rooms so the price gouging that goes on will cost you with food over $1000 a night....yup my thoughts exactly, NOT WORTH IT!!! is it nice, yup. Is it really cool, yup. Is it worth you taking a mortgage on your house to stay there....HELL NO!
@MOAB-UT4 ай бұрын
You are right and the bathrooms in the main area were filthy- screws missing from the stall doors too. I talked to other guests who felt a bit ripped off. Nice overall, sure but we stayed at the very nearby Cable Mountain Lodge. Far better value and more modern, cleaner, also very nice property- better pool, etc.
@russellmacarthur20895 ай бұрын
Great informative video, thank you. So we are going in Sept., did you need a park pass to enter of was your reservation essentially your park pass? I see now they require timed park passes, was that the case for you? And id so, did you leave in your car to go other places like Glacier Point Road & Mariposa Grove and were able to come & go with just the room reservation?
@WanderfulWorldofTravel5 ай бұрын
Our reservation was the park pass. Be sure to have it printed or a screenshot before getting to the gate. After entry, you can drive around as normal. Although parking was a nightmare everywhere. We tried to do everything in walking distance from the hotel or get to trailheads incredibly early in the morning.
