Hi Clinton. I also sold my Model A Tudor Sedan . Last month i bought a beautiful Austin Healey Sprite/MG Midget 1965 British Racing Green 1100 with dual carbs. Keep on hobby'ing!
@clintonrothwell57093 ай бұрын
I always liked the MG Midget/Spite. I bought a Sprite many years ago and traded for a 1928 Whippet by Overland. Later I bought an MGB which I traded for an E type Jag, beautiful. If only we could keep all the cars that have passed through our hands .... 🤣😂🤣. I'm sure you will enjoy the latest member to your family, Blessings, Clinton

Hi Clinton, how much are you wanting for Frankie ? I have seen a lot of your videos on that old truck. Almost feel like he’s part of my family.
@clintonrothwell57094 ай бұрын
Hi Harvey, Well I am open to offers. I have Frankie advertised at $13000. I think that is a good price seeing the amount of parts I have put into her. The cab alone is worth at least 4 grand if not more. I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I like her look not being totally restored to a shiny truck, it shows her life at the age of 96 years old and counting. It is a very hard decision to sell Frankie, as you say she is part of the family. Blessings ...

Yes, I am selling DD my 1930 Model A Coupe' and my 2004 Harley Davidson Road King which I put the touring pack and seat, the Screaming Eagle kit with cam and mufflers. with lots of other upgrades, all of which were done by the Harley Dealership. I did however keep all the parts that were changed so the new owner can put the bike back to the original 2004 Road King. blessings

I know my comment has nothing to do with this video except that it is about a Model A. What would you do or do you apply any type of sealant to the transmission drain plug and the differential drain plug in order to keep these plugs from leaking and or weeping?

Hi there, yes I wrap the plugs with silicone tape. If the threads are not warn out that will most often do the job. Good luck and let's keep them running. Blessings

How disappointing! wanted to see it run! Still would like to know if these had radios (and if it did, where they tub radios?) To me, this is my dream machine! They can keep their multi million dollar sports cars and Rolls, they can have their Corvettes and Camaros. But for me, its the Model A all the way!
@clintonrothwell5709 Жыл бұрын
Hi Joey, I will take DD out for a drive in the next couple of days and I will video the journey. I know what you mean, I have always loved the old cars of the twenties and thirties. As a child and even to this day I love wheels and the old cars, to me, really show them off with the sweeping fenders that hug the wheel. The act of driving them and the speed let's one experience the art of driving, lots to do and to listen to how she is acting, they will tell you if you are handling them properly and when you do they sing to you. The Model A didn't come with a radio but there were after market radios available. The wire in the top which is under the top material and padding which rests and chicken wire and they would use that as their antenna. Blessings

Hi Dean, I really enjoyed the night drive, DD look quite cute under the street lamps. I was pleased with the three lights at the back and pleasantly surprised to see how bright they were, gave me confidence that other drivers will see DD when coming up behind her. You will like the LEDs and they draw very little power. The Model A only came with the one tail/break light but I believe one could order another one from the dealer on the passenger side at extra cost. They also didn't come with a tire on the spare rim, that too was an extra. Love to see your treasure, you should post a video. Blessings

Nice video my friend. Your hat and shirt shows me we have more than Model A’s in common! Anyway, when you have time, I would like to see how you have wired in your battery cutoff switch. Thinking about doing that with mine. Take care.
@clintonrothwell5709 Жыл бұрын
Hi there, It is quite easy ... you need a cable from the positive battery terminal to the switch and another cable from the other terminal on the switch to the start. There is a holder that you can get from a Model A Ford parts store which bolts to one of the bolts that holds the starter to the flywheel housing or you can put it anywhere you wish. I used the parts store bracket made for the switch on Frankie but DD came with the switch mounted to the firewall. You would have to drill a hole in the firewall. I have seen them mounted to the front seat sheet metal under the seat and also on the floor boards. It really depends what would suit you better. If it is inside the passenger compartment it is easer to switch it on/off. I have to open the hood to turn mine on/off. Yes, I like my Harleys and I believe in the Second Amendment. I have a 2004 Road King which I put no a touring pack, and screaming eagle kit with cam and other things to make her my own. Also a 2007 Screaming Eagle Softail Springer CVO that I am thinking of selling as I plan a move in the near future. I hate to sell her but one has to sacrifice sometimes, besides it really is for solo riding and my wife love to be on the back of the Road King and I like having her with me. Blessings my friend

Hi Jim ... you are so correct. That is what one gets with a $30.00 camera. I bought it to put in the windshield in case of accidents but it doesn't work when the camera is on the back window. I promise I will take a video with my old hand held Sony, it should turn out better. I am going to try to get down to the DMV for DD's plates this week then I can take her out and about instead of just around the block. I posted this video mainly to show how the shifting was going because I had so much trouble getting a handle on it with DD. Frankie was easy. Why that is is still to be determined. I am almost finished with what I know about so now it's get her out and about and see how she does. I am a kinda worried about the manifold, I think it's warped. I just put in new gaskets but it looks like it isn't seated properly, I just don't want to buy a new one yet so we'll see if she "blows a gasket." 🤐Blessings
