Nothing against Thandiwe whatsoever, but the only reason why I can't bring myself to watch Chicken Run 2 because Aardman didn't give Julia a chance to return even though she was completely onboard to do the movie. I remember Julia even did a video where she re-read her lines from Chicken Run 1 to prove she can still play Ginger and there's virtually no difference between back then and now. It's not like with Wallace and Gromit where Peter Sallis retired from acting due to ill health and the role was passed on to Ben Whitehead.

Personally I think the final chicken death scene, with no sound, works better. Makes it feel sadder and darker without it somehow.
