Dr Warren does an amazing job w marine electronics. He has outfitted my vintage 290 Outrage w Lowrance GPS and depth finder, SITEX radar and now Sionyx. After my complex installation he has only had to return to the vessel once to adjust. After 55 years of hard offshore boating I like the simplicity of the Lowrance line. Going all the way back to flash/ spark depth finders they always work. Simrad is great for my techie friends but I manage to get mixed up as it does so many things. I will try this installation and unit this weekend.

So would it be okay to mount on top of a center console helm, even though there's a hardtop? I'm going to have the Fantom 24x on the hardtop on a 5" Seaview and want to avoid interference

As long as your hard top isn't metal/aluminum, it should be fine. You can connect it before you mount it and hold it where you plan on mounting it and see what the antenna strength will be. The GPS unit it's connected to will show you it strength in the upper corner. I have mounted a lot of them under hard tops without issues. Just a note: you might need to call SiriusXM and activate it before you can check the antenna strength.

hello having trouble with commising my auto pilot , i have a simrad , lowrance system . when I run my comminisg test my motor locks on starboard and will not come back to centre. Any help or suggestions are welcome
