He didn’t teaching from any composers… he was a genius composer himself and he could not get better than he was.

pumpin' this track with an oldschool Pioneer A-616 MKI is like i'm reborn again.. Unmatched track, they killed it, productionwise.. 01:23 when they put it down, awesome..

We can imagine Gershwin playing tunes like this for Ravel when Gershwin met Ravel in Paris. This explains why Ravel refused to teach Gershwin. It is well known that Ravel was shocked by Gershwin's genius and didn't want to "pollute" it. I think if you asked Ravel, he would have said the Gershwin's use of jazz, taught him. This is one of my very favorite electronica tracks by anybody ever. Had the CD since it came out back when. Love the way it fades out to the echo keys. Sublime.

this song was my introduction to this man. It was 1996 and Barrie, Ontario just had its first Jazz and Blues festival. It was a Saturday afternoon and there was an open tent near the lakeshore. I had a schedule and wanted to see the talent that was playing. Before Carlos got on stage (who I never heard of) there was some solid local talent playing and the vibe was happy. Then this rag tag group of players (typical blues band) come on stage and play this song. They played the intro almost to the same point as this recording. The crowd (along with me) loved it. When they hit those notes together (at the beginning) the crowd jumped and screamed like long time fanboys and girls. the whistles and cheers were everywhere. Then Carlos and his band get going with the "train style" intro and the rest of that set was history. Carlos had us in the palm of his hand. He sold out of CD's (is that still a thing) at the end of that set. God it was pure magic.

I think this scene represents the thoughts that go through a person's head the moment that they realize that they are about to die. At this moment, people realize that they have spent their whole lives living for the approval of others - whether this approval comes in the form of fear, respect, admiration etc. A lot of people when they get old and realize that their life is coming to an end have this realization. They realize that they didn't live the way they wanted to live, they weren't true to themselves, they did what other people wanted them to do. And if you had a second chance (at life), you would live differently.

can't imagine, what mindset will be, if people are about to die, cuz the living ones can't have a clue.

Hey friends , glad I’m not the only blues harp player who has trouble identifying a song specific key!!! Sometimes I get it right at guess #7 Get it? A,B,C,D, etc.... Anyway, the key Carlos is jamming with is a fine tuned E harp. I watched an interview with Carlos DJ and he learned some advanced hemispherical outside of the box thinking from the man Howard Levy. Tricks on special tuning Listen to everything they says and you’ll learn. These guys are masters and their music is their legacy. My playing has changed and grown exponentially since I found Carlos DJ. I also like the song “Just your fool “ by CDJ and it happens to be in the key of C. Look for his song, “Doodle it”. It’s unique. And Howard Levy’s tune in B-flat. It’s amazing

I don't know about the piano, but the drums sure were! 😁 kzbin.info/www/bejne/eHu5emh8e9hoj5I At the end, you can hear the piano and chords on top of the drums.

Its true but it will not help you In fact, it will break you and make you loose everything if you are going to fight against these incitements. its simple We will do anything for power, respect and love.* (must note: a lot of us within the legal boundries) Why we do this.. because it makes you feel good, only if you are twisted, you dont want to feel good. power doesn't seem to care much people (because most people also just stand up every morning and know there place or people don't have the required inquiries) *(Unless you want to serve a higher purpose, religion that kinda thing)
