Hey synthousiast, is it possible to mix one Mother32 in to another without any loss in audio quality via the patch bay? I have one mother32 and would like to buy another one without having to buy a mixer.. I really love your melancholic compositions with this synths, I love the sound of the m32 in general. The plucky lush sounds it can generate are just unique... Anyway keep it up!
@synthusiast2911Ай бұрын
@@PLA.net-DANTE Thanks for stopping by! I'm glad you like it :-) One M32 into another? I haven't tried it yet, but maybe you can use the external input on the upper left of the patchbay. But I think in this case the signal goes through the entire signal path, including the filter, amp, etc. Maybe not quite what you want. You probably can't avoid using a small mixer or a small audio interface.

I call up different pre-programmed sequences, change filters, envelope amount, change oscillator shapes and so on. I tried to change the sound subtly over the length of the piece to make it interesting.

I love it, so good. after I learn everything about the moog sound studio I will need to get some of these euro rack modules for that extra modulation, technically could you make all this work with just VCV rack modules and get a similar outcome?

beautiful track, I also just got 2 mothers and cant wait to learn them and start jamming. that moog sound is so nice!

Good job! The Dfam sounds much better at a slow tempo. Idk why people always have it soaring 🤷♂

That sounds huge for just four voices! Impressive that you were able to squeeze in the drums and percussion. And that note slide is killer every time

Beautiful video!!! Repro5 is such a great sounding VST. Wow so A4 can sequence up to 6 MIDI tracks? Do you know what's the polyphony per track for Midi sequencing?

Thanks very much! Yes, you can sequence with 6 tracks and 4 notes polyphony.

Sounds amazing. What do the modules on the right add, Math etc?
@synthusiast29118 ай бұрын
thanks very much! short answer: nothing 😉. long answer: i wanted to play with the tempo during the performance. i was looking for a way to always return to a defined bpm. i found it too imprecise to only do that with the tempo knob of the m32, since I could never find the exact position to be reproduced. so i put an lfo from math‘s channel 4 to the tempo input of the m32. with math‘s channel 3 i was able to control the lfo tempo of channel 4. when the attenuator of channel 3 is fully left, i would have my standard tempo. if I turn it to the right, the tempo would slow down. attenuator back to the left stop, tempo would go back to normal… hope that makes any sense. but in the end i didn't use it at all and didn't change the tempo 😅.

These NDLR pieces you're doing with modular are beautiful! What do you find is the best route to get your midi from NDLR into your modular? Are you using NDLR as your master clock too? Thanks!
@synthusiast2911 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching :-) ! I have an ES-9 interface with a 5-pin MIDI breakout. I connect the MIDI-Out of the NDLR with the MIDI-In of the ES-9. Then I use VCV-Rack. In the software I connect the MIDI-CV module to an output channel of the ES-9 for each of the 4 channels of the NDLR. Then I connect the corresponding outputs of the ES-9 with the Eurorack modules in the hardware world. In VCV-Rack I also use the very good audio mixer as well as reverb and delay.

Nice chilled sounds- are you using song mode on A4 and a 4 bar loop on Digitakt? - I'm asking because I use these machines and have used the Digitakt song mode to control the A4 (mainly as I'm more familar with the Digitakt).
@synthusiast2911 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! Yes, the A4 runs in song mode. The Digitakt plays two patterns. I change them manually (e.g. at about 1:32)
