I've never seen one of those pink "ONE" containers "in the wild." Only in model train catalogs. Very cool to see a "real" one.......
@AndrewNeilFalconer6 күн бұрын
The ONE containers are typically in the Westbound intermodal container train that passes through Vicksburg between 11:00 and 14:00.

Nice to have a somewhat uncommon set of power. @1:06 the mural with the engineer in the corner and the word locomotive spelled out. Indeed the DeSoto Mo shops probably 90 + percent of their work is on auto racks and on the we will deliver car at the bottom you'll see the MP marks on the rack I forgot the name of the channel but there is a guy who catches the local serving Desoto twice a month or so it usually has three GP units and also covered Hoppers and tankers for white lime loading. Certainly a perfect lighting day on the train

@AndrewNeilFalconer16 күн бұрын
Is the wheel change on a real, full size flat car or on a scale model replica of a ETTX TTX flat car.
@jorgenoriega599716 күн бұрын
@jorgenoriega599716 күн бұрын
@AndrewNeilFalconer16 күн бұрын
@@jorgenoriega5997Lifting the flat car with auto rack and trucks might require the use of small trucks with a crane on both sides. A GRANDE DAVO crane can be used to lift the end of auto carrier if the proper length straps are available to fit beneath the flat car, then attach to the hook somehow.

I do remember those Peavey cars then on occasion passed through Milwaukee. A few ended their careers hauling potash in the early 80s. Those three covered Hoppers ahead of the Caboose are a perfect fit for a twin cities or twin ports transfer run

In this cold I think I'll stare at the summer warmth for a few minutes on that nice curve shot by the depot With the summer track work in full session there were three sections of CN\IC\WC of junk tie cars with the odd BNSF.covered hopper. The 2 unique IARX small bulkhead Flats what's quite possibly came from specialty car builder Ebenezer Railcar in Buffalo NY. Lastly the conventional looking flat car for KRL. I've never seen this style car before as everything else they own has multi trucks under them

Another Sunny train. That CCLX car while a bit Rusty is in amazingly good shape just like the south point ethanol car behind it since they've been bankrupt and out of business for 15 years. 3 orange ICG bulkhead flats. Interesting comparison Of the two CCX carbon black cars especially all those diagonal rivets on the second one. The CP DPU. A real surprise but thankfully one of the cleaner ones. Today the older BN brings up the markers

Those first two gondolas brought back a quick memory from Circa 1990 when the SOO had that Lake State's division and that was about the time they ran the last through Freights from Green Bay to Milwaukee on the old Milwaukee Road trackage. I caught the freight coming into Milwaukee and it was behind four old SOO GP 9s and the first 15 cars were out of some long story deadlines and most likely headed off to scrap. They were.in amazingly good shape and would have made a great museum piece as they had the Color Mark emblem and also where stenciled When Empty Return to DMIR. Steelton MN

One IORY covered Hopper. That covered Hopper with the face reminded me of a dour person I worked with many years ago. Then there was a group of battered and rusty older covered hoppers and they did make a move in one of these tapes about a year ago and most likely these are loads of soda ash from Wyoming as I see them on UP freights going through Iowa with frequency. These two weeks will probably have smaller consists due to the holidays.
