Hey Brian, i got same problem in my 97 boxster too. Exactly same. My fuel ran out, i put some fuel manually with fuel can, and boom ENGINE doesnt starts exactly same in thix video. how can i fix It seems 2 years pass after upload can you help me ?

Thanks. I also changed the maf and improved but still there is some movement on the needle. I sit in another 2 986s and they were worst than mine. I visited 2 specialist and they told me is normal on these car the revs to fluctuate. I can now sleep in peace. 🤣

Hi man! have you solved your problem? A friend of mine is currenttly having the same problem and I think it could be the crankshaft position sensor, but unfortunately he is far away from me and I can´t help him.

Hello! I also thought it was the crankshaft position sensor but that did not work. Turns out my car was fitted with a cheap MAF sensor. Replaced with nice new Bosch MAF! Ran like a dream after that. Sorry for the delay, I don't get notifications for posts on my videos. Hopefully me posting this response will help someone else with the same issue. It's not fun when you're on a roundabout and your Porsche cuts out on you and you can't get it started again....

Sorry for the massive delay. It was a faulty top mount bearing, so i replaced the top mount and bearing at the same time...job done! You may have already fixed this but this information may help someone else. All the best.
