Something bittersweet hides in the fact that Peter will never find out Tony built a whole fucking time machine for him and Tony never knew he saved Peter way more times than he thought, Peter never told him the boy at Expo was him. I read somewhere that the reason that people are so attached to this relationship is because it painfully mirrors Harry and Sirius situation. Two people who found each other too late, kept saying goodbye all the time and imagined their future together. The life so desired that didn’t happen. Tony gave away everything he could, he only wanted his family being save in the end, he didn’t want to repeat Howard’s mistakes and he tried hard. In the end, two broken kids left with the legacy on their shoulders that no one will teach them how to handle it. Truly, Hello, Welcome home. Seems like unbreakable circle of Starks family.
