Hello there, I'm in New York and registered as a DBA ($78). You don't need any special license. You don't need an LLC. Some locations may require you to have liability insurance, which cost me $327 for the year. Feel free to let me know if you have any more questions. I'll do a video of my step-by-step, which is similar to state-to-state.

On your 2nd mic I hear audio reflections from your walls and such giving a hollow sound. If you can treat your environment for recording, maybe hang up some soft blankets... I think you will find it sounds even better. I have the $37 Fifine K669D and I think it sounds fantastic, but only when I surround myself with fuzzy softness.

yes the ELGATO is a good mic, but if youre on a budget there is mics secondhand or just find a used audio interface and a used or cheap dynamic mic to get started. for exampel the fifine k669d mic. or the Behringer XM8500.

3:34 This zoom mic is a side adress condenser USB mic so you have to position it upright and speak in in from the front. and i would recommend a pop filter. Right now you are using it wrong.
