Hey everyone, I just realized that I can label the sources, I rename them, then I put a 1. after the name, and it put it as the first source.

Thanks, this tool is amazing. Question, do you know, if when we put in the sources, does it keep them in that order, or does it shuffle them around? thanks

I think it treats the sources as one whole and decides what to focus on, but I haven't experimented much with order of sources.

Have you guys heard of WonderCraft? It's AI and makes podcasts, audiobooks etc. Lots of voices and customisation. I use ElevenLabs as well but NotebookLM has blown me away with its natural conversational style in the host voices. Can't wait for more voices before all our podcasts have the same hosts LOL!

Great video Roger! Thank you! Sometimes when it goes long (25 mins) it simply repeats, so I would suggest listening to the whole podcast. I had to do that recently when I uploaded my book to it. It started repeating exactly what it said at the beginning of the podcast. I simply put it in Descript and edited that part out. I hope this helps.

Fantastic tip, Reginald. I suppose you could put the audio file back into NotebookLM and ask it to identify any repetitive content. Or, another LLM.

Working on this. Hoping that Google makes a few changes to make video creation easier. Right now, it requires a fair amount of manual editing.

@@RogerDooleyYT I totally agree. All of the editing with HeyGen avatars is confusing. It would be awesome if we could post the podcast in a new avatar video website and it creates the video.

How did you bring the output into heygen though? Why do none of these videos SHOW THE PROCESS! I have my generated audio from notebook but how do you turn that into video on heygen?
@RogerDooleyYT25 күн бұрын
Sorry if I wasn't clear on that in the video. Maybe I'll do a short explainer. But, for the moment, the process is easy but a little time-consuming. First, download the audio file from NotebookLM. Go to Heygen and pick your male and female avatars. Generate a video from your audio file for both avatars. You'll have one video with the female mouthing all the words and one with the male doing the talking. I uploaded both videos into Premiere Pro and cut the videos to match the voice. I.e., when the female voice was talking, that clip showed the female avatar. Not bad for 90 seconds, but effortful and time-consuming for producing longer/multiple videos. If Google exported separate tracks for male and female, it would be easier. Even better if Google had a video avatar option built-in. If Heygen can do it, surely Google can. Thanks for asking!

You have exactly hit the nail on the head. Everything is for the big users not for smaller users. I wonder if there are any simpler companies where one can have a smaller meeting with say 10 to 20 people. I'd be on there like a shot if there was one. Zoom is becoming a nightmare for me.
@RayblondieАй бұрын
It's hardy frictioness. I fight it a nightmare trying to run a Zoom meeting. It seems to constantly be changing. I dread it when a meeting comes up. I think I wonder what has changed now? They just change it without telling you. There should be a lower level of operation for people in smaller meetings. I have stayed awake all night due to Zoom problems caused by constantly change the way one starts a meeting.

Gives you an idea how stupid Gad's common sense is: If some hypothesis fails in the replication process, then science is working just fine in the social sciences. Failure of hypothesis is actually quite common in all domains of science. If it wasn't the case, replication would be a waste of valuable time and resources so no one would do it. and there is nothing "unscientific " about Critical theory, considering how statistically supported it is. Once again, as if it isn't obvious to anyone with any basic knowledge in cognitive psychology, a psychologist extolling the virtues of common sense is either an incompetent psychologist or a fraud ( I suspect the later)
