Does someone know why this song mentions Narvik? As far as I know the only troops fighting in Narvik were Gebirgsjäger (mountain infantry) and navy. My grandfather was a Gebirgsjäger there. I never heard about Fallschirmjäger (paratroopers) serving in Narvik.

Okay so the initial battle of Narvik started with 2,000 Gebirgsjägers and German naval troops from their ships because the ships ran out out of fuel which would have brought the total number of German troops initially to 4,600 then 290 German soldiers from Sweden disguised as health care workers joined the battle, later in the battle 1,000 Fallschirmjägers from the 7th Air Division were dropped in to extra support so the entire German force at Narvik was 5,890 men.

The generation of Americans who fought in WWII were among the bravest in our nations history...then we have the men who volunteered to jump out of planes fought an enemy that literally surrounded them, they truly were a special breed. Whether exceptionally brave, courageous, or just plain crazy they clearly had balls. I cannot imagine the fate of the entire world if WWII would of been now with the woke insanity of of today, what tomorrow would be for our children and their children and their children's children given an axis powers victory instead of the allied victory... We will never truly understand exactly what it is that these men did for us all...they were real heros, especially those who never got to come home...

Thank you very much for the comment and the criticism. I’d like to say i’m not a native German and some German translation to English sounds weird to an English speaker like myself so some translations get changed to make actual sense for English speakers. Also most of my old songs do need to be redone. So when I eventually get back to the older songs I posted on my channels they will be updated.
