Hey I’m a bit late :) planning on going to Hawaii with EF for 3 weeks next summer. Unfortunately I’m only 19 and I don’t know if 3 weeks are worth the money (due to work I only have 3 weeks vacation) Would I be the only 19 year old? Or do you think it doesn’t make any sense visiting Hawaii before turning 21? I’m afraid that i can’t do anything there because I’m too young. You know I’m not interested in drinking alcohol or going to clubs, but do all of the activities require a higher age? And do I have to return to the residence earlier in the evening? A lot of questions I know, but maybe you can help me with my decision:)

Hi, I’m planning to study Hawaii for 2 weeks in the next spring vacation. And I’m 16 years old. I’m worried about it’s a good decision for me… and was your host family good?? Please give me some advice if you can!🥺
@daphneelsocht16822 жыл бұрын
Hi, you need to know that you will probably be the youngest there since the average age is around 21. Also 2 weeks is kinda short for Hawaii. Beside that, Hawaii is a great destination and I would totally recommend it! & Yes I loved my hostfam :))

What was the age category of the people from this trip? :) because I want to travel too with EF and I just turned 18 but I don’t know if I should go with people from the category 10-18 or 18-25
@daphneelsocht16822 жыл бұрын
I'd say 21 on average. EF is not in age categories and only starting from age 16 (14 for grouptravel but that's something totally different) so I think you're confusing it with another organisation! :))

@@daphneelsocht1682 oo thanks!! And no it was EF actuallly.. but it depends on what kind of trip you want to do maybe or from which country you come from (I’m from the Netherlands) but thanks for your answer :);)

@daphneelsocht16824 жыл бұрын
hi! I was living in a hostfam but many of my friends stayed in de residence. The residence is much closer to the city center and you are together with a lot of other students. In a hostfam you get in touch with the culture and your family cooks for you while in the residence you have to provide your own food.

OMG same i am thinking about Miami and Honolulu.I haven't been anywhere with ef in fact.My instagram is: @polly_shkliaeva.So probably we can become friends and go to Miami or Honolulu together!
@daphneelsocht16825 жыл бұрын
Hi! I know that many students doubt between these two. Honolulu has, just like miami, great beaches but in my opinion hawaii has a lot more to do and see. In contrast to miami, has oahu a lot of nature (jungle, mountains,...). It's also much more adventurous than miami. If you don't like hiking and surfing, I would discourage chosing hawaii because it's a giant waste of money (flights are twice as expensive, or even more). Miami also has great trips (bahama's for example) so it's a great destination too to explore, beside enjoying the beaches.
