What trail is Mount Mitchell in Oklahoma
@hikingwithchrisАй бұрын
A good way to get to Mount Mitchell is to start at the Sunset picnic area. Go west on the Charon’s garden trail to the Crab Eyes trail. Follow the crab eyes trail west until it turns south. At that turn, there will be a poorly marked unnamed trail that continues west. That trail will take you west to Mount Mitchell. I’m sorry I don’t have better instructions than that.

what is the best place to rappel in the Wichita mountains?
@hikingwithchrisАй бұрын
@@EthanBell-q1l Honestly, the Narrows Canyon, but I think they don’t want you doing that because it interferes with the rock climbers. 40 Foot hole is a good spot, but I think there is a better spot somewhere on Mount Scott on the side that faces Lake Lawtonka.
@EthanBell-q1lАй бұрын
@ yeah man the narrows look like a really good spot but it said online that it wasn’t allowed is there anyone policing it? And how many feet is the spot by the lake?
@hikingwithchrisАй бұрын
@ the only ones policing it are other visitors to the area. Most people don’t care, but some of the rock climbers will call you out. I haven’t rappelled on Mount Scott, but I seems like those cliffs are maybe over 100 feet. I really don’t know for sure.

One thing that is important to note here is that God doesnt just provide what we need. God gives us more than what we need. As we read in Matthew when Jesus feeds the 5,000 men (plus women and children so roughly 20,000) he doesnt just feed them what they need. It says that they still had 12 baskets of bread left over. Jesus didnt just satisfy their needs exactly, although he could have. He provided more than what they needed so that He could show that he would always let your cup overflow. Because when your cup overflows, youre able to give that abundance to others, so that they can catch some water too.

Years ago i worked the second shift. I got off at midnight. There was an old farm house that was surrounded by barbed wire. A cow pasture now. The house had the doors removed to allow the cows to use as a barn. Came by one night and a full moon was shining down. The cows inside were peering out of the windows. Erie sight!!

@@hikingwithchris Gave me the creeps. Like an old horror movie. The ones in the 30's and 40's. They knew how to use shadow to set the atmosphere. Black and white versus full color B/W is more nightmare mode. The scariest things are those we don't see. The best theater actually is the theater of the mind. It was scary. I used to come home on the second just after midnight and ever night at the same time the Rock station I listened to would play, Children of the Sun. Creepy things just happen sometimes. Like the cows I mentioned. We live in a strange world truly.
