@@MeanieGoon Venom on chaos base is really only for those of us too lazy to swap more than one item. Claw mastery is probably the biggest one in general and blade shield is slightly useful as well. Either way eth War Fist is the only base you want for WWsin so thats #1 criteria above the staffmods

@MeanieGoon Yes. Natalyas set with 8-9 facets and a full set of skillers is very potent. I got a cheap Tyraels because a buddy found one otherwise I would likely just have rolled a Fortitude or simply stuck to a 3/3 Nats with good facets

@@mr.mardoc8651 im a bit fan of holy bolt paladin but I also have no issue with the hotkey-heavy gameplay with the teleport offhand swapping. Summon druid & necro are definitely up there but neither of them are that great at running chaos initially which is my preferred pre-map farming spot.

@@lolleonlolable the build I outlined is centered around elemental damage. Investigating in charge only increases phys damage. With that said Charge got nerfed this season and sacrifice is the better mapping build now but you can follow the same concept/gearing again just using 1 pt sacrifice/charge

Absolutely, not too much has changed in the druid department other than fury being nerfed some as a mapper!

Im pretty conservative with respecs as I dont want to have to waste time farming tokens later on so I typically only play one build during playthrough without respeccing. Blizzard is the easiest skill to use overall once you get to the latter stages of nm but it can be a tad slow in normal. Ice blast (synergy) pierces through mobs though in PD2 so if you line monsters up its still reasonably decent. If youre playing solo the biggest issue with that route is normal duriel but you can either invest 1 pt in firewall or shop a +firewall staff for him specifically as its an extremely strong skill on normal diff.

@@ChaosSanctuary Damn. I personally like the lightning three a lot and have been investing in it. Charged bolt in particular (I am level 14) as it seems super strong for mobs. I also invested a few points in the cold three for defensive purposes (freezing/slowing enemies). I know that I will hit a wall with lightning at some point in NM/Hell but I plan to invest in fire at some point, too. I hate the cold three...

The easiest way for necro is: phys skellies (warriors + archers) with max amp curse. This build ends with level 77, rest in preferences (max iron golem, revive or curse mastery). This build is strong but slow.

@@VileVampyre make sure youre running the correct gfx mode. IIRC it has to be selected in the launcher options even when youre playing PlugY.

Theres not too many differences between season 8 and 9 except some variantions of endgame builds for mapping, pretty much everything else is still roughly the same. One key difference would be being able to combine 2x half freeze duration on items to gain CBF

​@@TakinaArpg as a beginner in pd2, if you play sc it doesn't really matter what u choose. If hc, you might want to start with a summoned build, or druid caster, or trap sin. Building melee hc really requires some experience with the game and it's mechanics to not die. You need: high defense, pdr, life leech, ideally block chance, chance to hit (given by ar items and dex and being a same or higher level than the monster area), attack speed, resistances, understanding of blocking and hit recovery frames, how to break or deal with phys immunes, etc. Whereas with caster you only need a fraction of these, fcr, and -enemy res of the element you are using when you can get it. Luckily pd2 has many builds for each character that are viable, so any choice is fine but ideally you begin with a strong starter build for each char, to help farm faster for the items and runes you need to later transition into the build u enjoy

Youre basically just a walking aura in a group playthrough. In most groups youll probably have to be on salvation most of the time. Even if you do decide to go holy fire zeal early normal it will usually be irrelevant by the time you reach act 3 so there isnt much point when you can just go 1 pt might for the party and then go straight holy bolt and have a playable spec once youre done even if you dumped a good amount of points into salvation.

@@ChaosSanctuary Great point about Holy Fire wearing off quickly. I did some testing yesterday and Holy Fire really smacks early on, but at the same time it’s a very selfish aura. A Paladin will probably be paired with a summoner of sorts in the early parts of the playthrough anyway so that 1 point wonder Might definitely seems like the better choice. Then just stacking Holy Bolt and a bit of Resist Fire for Diablo will do the trick.

It depends. I typically just stack up on orbs for map rerolling that I will need eventually anyway but you could try to gamble +3 classtab amulets and attempt to slam CBF or +1 on those for trade value.

@@opperjoscoIt is worth noting that gambling isnt very profitable since it takes significant time away from actually farming so I very rarely bother. For that reason I also dont particularly try to make the goldfind stat a priority in those early trav runs
