Hey Jim, wonderful work, I was especially inspired by your solar powered stirling engine. I am currently working on a university project and would love to replicate your idea in an architectural environment. Is there any way I could reach out to you through Email or social media? Many thanks in advance!

If its working in space where there is no oxygen, hydrogen is better because of better thermal conductivity

You still need oxygen for this medicine to work.
@StirlingBuilder Жыл бұрын
No oxygen required. The engine contains its own supply of working fluid and is recycled.

Technically it is a reciprocating engine. I modified the design and gave it a flywheel. You can find that in my other videos. It would be a poor time keeper as a clock. 😊

It would be great if the backwards and forwards motion could be harness with a ratchet flywheels one for each direction

Does the displacer actionned by something, or only different temperature air mooving into the "piston" box ?

The reciprocate action can still be turned into rotary with the addition of a rocker arm. Or if you wanted to some copper and magnets could still generate power in its reciprocate action

Hi, I am trying to build my first Pop can Stirling engine, and so far no success. I have tried 8 different designs, and none of them seem to work for me. Any tips or tricks to get one running? Thank you.

Hi Jim! I have to coach a robotics team this year and we need an energy project. I thought it would be interesting to use the Stirling Engine. We have to come up with a refinement/improvement and make a prototype etc. Do you think there is anything we could improve with a Stirling engine stove fan? Maybe build it into wood stoves?(trying to stick to sustainable off-the-grid energy project if I can). Integrated stirling fan into the exhaust pipe? I'm not extremely familiar with how they work or what would be the best improvement. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
