Why everybody hating on Omaha I’m thinking to move downtown I work from home. Is it a good place for single people?
@StephanyOmahaNebraskaRealtor7 күн бұрын
@@CienFuego-vy3yq personally I think Omaha is not for everyone but I do like Omaha not only is it rapidly growing but Omaha opened up so many opportunities for me! Now if it’s a good place for single people.. it depends what you’re looking for; opportunities, Entertainment, housing, continuing a career at a university here, etc… :) let me know if there’s anything I can help with!

This is exactly why people continue to move to Omaha, not only do they seek the slower pace of life but they also look for the competitive home prices Nebraska offers.
@peggyhansen45164 күн бұрын
AS long as you like to pay a lot in taxes. Otherwise move across the river to Iowa, same low coast but much lower taxes. The one good thing about Omaha is that it is Blue politically.

Taxes are way too high crime is way too high the mayor is the biggest jerk in the world trying to build a street car we don’t need and we have the highest property taxes
@StephanyOmahaNebraskaRealtor23 күн бұрын
Yes taxes are definitely high, but I think crime can vary depending on location I would say locations more west of omaha can have a lower impact in crime
@nevermindme892229 күн бұрын
Property taxes are ridiculous in Omaha. But then again it’s partially due to Nebraska being stuck in the stone ages. Just recently legalized gambling and still refuse to legalize weed. The amount they could make off of those two alone could make property taxes significantly cheaper
@StephanyOmahaNebraskaRealtor28 күн бұрын
I agree that property taxes in Nebraska are definitely something the state has to regulate hopefully but in general for some people housing here is a little more affordable than other states and thats why people continue to move here. But yes im sure lots of people would move here even more with a lower cost on property tax

I stumbled on this video a few days too late. I was working on recruiting some technical staff for a few companies in Omaha and Lincoln both and the first people I started sourcing out were laid off Amazon employees here in Seattle. These people were used to making $100k to $125k. The jobs I was recruiting for were paying $85k to $95k. All of them told me they would rather be evicted from their $3000 450 square foot apartment with $350 parking spaces than degrade themselves with life in nowhere Nebraska. SMH.

@@StephanyOmahaNebraskaRealtor Thanks for your support, Yeah I can handle the snow I used to live in CT before, so what about the employment market and jobs just to set base before moving, any tips will be appreciated 🙏
@StephanyOmahaNebraskaRealtorАй бұрын
@@MohamedHassan-v6x9w For employment, Nebraska ranks as one of the states with the lowest unemployment rate, meaning there are a ton of job options for everyone, that being said is important to keep in mind the field of work you are currently working in right now and see if you can find something within that same field in Nebraska to make your financing process a lot more smoother. 👍

This is a lie. Omaha only has winter for 8 months and summer for 4. Spring is so windy it's sometimes unbearable. Fall is over in a couple of weeks if you get a fall.
