This would be a problem with any vehicle if they happened last 20+ years on the road, regularly
@208Tyler8 сағат бұрын
No. This failure is specifically caused by the suspension design pulling the lower ball joint, which hangs from the socket. This is why the 2nd gen taco/4th gen 4runner/ 2nd gen sequoia/tundra have the ball joint on top in their suspension. This also explains why relatively young ball joints pop out and fail on these vehicles

Very cool! Neighbor a retired toyota and honeywell engineer, built a lc79 crew cab body from a 2022, onto a tundra donor truck, along with its fold down bed. His engine pooped so he decided to swap a cummins 5.9L and go fully overboard. like his lc79 his champ build had its cab and bed imported from philippines, so is LHD. He used a t100 or a tacoma i think, as the donor for body and bed to drop on. He has a 4.2L from an '06 troopy that hes built out like a mad man for it. And here I am looking for an old 4runner or seqi thats v8 and 4x4 haha.

Thanks for posting a review about the Rubitrek. I don't think I would have even heard about these tires if it wasn't for your review. I'm probably going with the rubitreks. When it comes to optic, size does mater. That's why you should have probably gone for the 3" mini D2S since the headlight is large enough for it, it should be about 30% brighter. For the small light scatter out of the projector, it's probably because you have some light leak between the projector shroud and the factory reflector. Also, that cheap projector was aimed at the sky ^^
@208Tyler4 күн бұрын
I chose the projector based on price. The makes sense. No…. The mini projector was aimed alright. I tested that all out when I first installed it
@dufonrafal4 күн бұрын
@@208Tyler oh, then yes, I didn’t realize the difference was significant. At 1:53 you can clearly see that the LED is aimed way higher than the HID, so at least one of them is badly aimed ;)

Question - When I ran the SwitchPro9100 on my old truck, say to some rear bumper lights, I was able to ground the lights on the chassis at the back of the truck and simply run 1 hot wire up to the control box. As the Aux Beam box has both + and - terminals for each switch....do you HAVE to run the second wire (ground) up to the box or can you leave that open and just ground the accessory on the chassis somewhere? I've looked fro the answer, but no joy. I liked only having to run 1 wire to the SwitchPro box vs 2 wires (if required) to the Aux Beam. Or perhaps you can combine all of the grounds from the box to a single ground near the box..and ground the accessory at the location where it's mounted. I suck at electrical things....not sure if you experimented with it.
@208Tyler5 күн бұрын
Ground is ground. So run it to the box or to the chassis, both should work
