I would put like all the beads I could possibly need on the tail, struggle to work around them, and then inevitably run out anyway, get frustrated and never touch the work again. And that's why I don't use beads :)

I would so trade you a squished penny one from Medora for a cute coin purse it doesn’t even need to have beads on it.

I have wanted to do this for so long. A beaded purse and matching bracelet is what I would love to do. Thank you for your videos. It was truly inspirational.

I might be a little late to the party, but I’d love to test it out for you! I am BakerX on Ravelry. (I have done many different beading techniques & am accomplished in most crochet techniques. I’m not on there much anymore, due to my over-consumption of fiber art content issues. I can easily lose hours there!) I feel the pain of unwinding. However, it’s the price of accurate design work. On larger projects you can use a scale, for small work like this? Sigh. “Ribbit”.😢

Wow great tip with connecting the new string. I kind of did the same but left the loop small and always struggled with it. Thanks for the tip.❤

I think this! When I was younger and considering fashion as my career, I had always wanted to create beaded clothes! It is great to see it in action.

The sound of the beads being poured and swirled and held is such a relaxing and amazing sound!! Have you considered getting transparent red, silver lined, miyuki beads, probably a size 8 (but 11 or size 15 would be spectacular, albeit harder work at a 15!!)?
@annakarenina3188Күн бұрын
This is basically tambour beading..... But not over/under fabric -- you're making your fabric as you go, and do labour bead work onto your self created fabric...... If you work in say a 30-72 silk (DeVere's, sizes are broad due to what you might need re: tight twist Vs soft twist & weights), then work with miyuki beads, Paris beads, all silver lined translucent..... You're into catwalk couture quality, but in crochet!! That could be really interesting if you were to colour ombre beads/silks on a long item.... A whole crochet dress in your beading technique, using the finest quality threads... Maybe adding in some real 24k gold or 999 silver, different styles of dresses/tops/skirts; pillbox hats or black tie night time fascinators..... ....... Your addition of beads to crochet just took the art of crochet to a whole new level (for me at least -- I'm sure you're reading this pointing to Paris fashion week in 1994 or something: where all the major houses did this exact thing..... Sorry, don't mean to patronise or tell you what to do: was just so mind-blowing, as I've never seen beaded crochet before!!!)

If you're still looking for testers, happy to oblige. But as for the frogging, I feel your pain girl! Just look at it as being symbolic of tearing down the old, in favor of a new beginning. Onward and upward! <3

That said, you can avoid this in future by simply calculating materials by weight. You can get pretty accurate digital scales for measuring tiny amounts of things these days.

Denim often has a chain stitch at the back. You just need to find a correct direction and pull.
