Just bought one (well the one with the grass collector), hopefully it'll serve me well. Haven't looked to see how easy it is to hook up a trailer yet , though ill make the mods you did so thanks for figuring that put and sharing it.

I need to upgrade from my GoPro Hero 8. It doesn't have an external mic so all it records is wind noise. When editing videos, I drop the wind noise 25dB and mix in my commentary, but it would be nice to avoid the wind noise and most of the engine noise and have a running commentary as I'm riding. It's difficult to believe GoPro has consistently had such a lame mic solution.
@WagsOutback3 ай бұрын
I find it hard to believe that GoPro's still lock up to this day. Have taken the Action 4 out on the boat now, up the front while travelling along perfect audio now amongst the wind. The Mic connects really fast each time its fired up now as I have updated the firmware. Audio set at 0db on the mic for the boat. The mic also records sound files too if you want better quality for editing.

@@WagsOutback - I haven't had problems with my GoPro Hero 8 locking up. It shut down once or twice when hot but I haven't had the mystery lockups and lost data that many people report. I was careful to buy a very high quality Sandisk micro SD card, and I avoid allowing the battery to die while it's recording. At the end of every trip I connect a USB cable to the GoPro to download the video files (rather than pulling the card and accessing it behind the GoPro's back, so to speak), and I power up the GoPro and format the micro SD card before each use to get a clean start for each trip. Still, I have the DJI Action 5 camera and the wireless mic in my Amazon shopping cart. I'll probably upgrade soon.

It looks nice tractor. I could get one for 1300$ only slightly used. It is made in china and tons of plastic parts. Im actually horified about the amount of plastic in these machines. I have seen 80s and 90s Murrays that are almost full metal construction still in everyday service. Metal rusts, but plastic brittles and wears down in sun and breaks while using it in frost.

Thanks for the review. I, too, have a 4108 but a couple of years old with the 550 twin. I must put in those blocks of wood as I have the same problem but hadn't looked closely and just thought there was some play I couldn't adjust. Did you put in a 10A fuse for the seat? Have you thought about changing the hydro gear tranny oil before the hours get up too high, as the tranny oil I understand isn't the best from the factory and it pays to put the better Stens 5W50 in so I am led to believe? I haven't seen any on line tips about doing that, have you? I have only done it on a tuff torq and had left it too late and the gears were worn.
@WagsOutback5 ай бұрын
Hi, Yep those little blocks take out the wondering for sure. Yes it was a 10 amp auto fuse, just pull the two wires off the seat switch and plug in the fuse to short both wires together. No I have not looked at the Hydro drive, will do now and see what I come up with, cheers. Made another video here kzbin.info/www/bejne/a6K5nn5-p5x_opYfeature=shared

Nice lawn tractor! 👍 I have a two year old Stiga Estate lawn tractor that is pretty much the same as your tractor except that it has a collector for the grass on the back. I shorted the switch for the seat and is going to do the same with the annoying reverse button on the dashboard and had to tighten the two 13 mm steering gear bolts underneath the fuel tank to get rid of wobble in the steering, you should check out those bolts too. I also put in some 5W5 led bulbs in the headlights so now the lights are much brighter and it looks better too in my opinion.

HI, wire from the key goes to the solenoid wire. So when you turn the key it excites the solenoid. Red wire coming out of the regulator goes to + bat terminal so when its running, power is charging the battery. Shut down/kill switch is built into the throttle linkage etc. Ours still going great, on 80 acres here so it gets a real work out bush bashing through the walking tracks and all.

Yes, never trust those over enthusiastic Gopro reviewers that get free cams. Just had a look where you are, UK is certainly a different world compared to here. Sunny and warm all year round here with endless empty dirt roads, tracks and a sandy beach to ride on just down the road. Only bad thing about the Action 4 was being forced to register it, I don't know why they do that. I see the Bluetooth wireless Mic2 will connect to the Action now too. Cheers.
