I was lucky to buy a sealed Sideshow exclusive (with Kryptonite necklace) 7 years ago at a decent price. It’s my favorite Superman item in my huge Superman collection.

Man I swear the Apex Chaos displays elevate an already stunning figure to a whole new level of brilliance. You can put a can of beans in one and it looks aces. Beautiful video sir, I want this Superman in my collection badly. I can’t imagine what a 2.0 of this would be 😮

Great video and great choice for this series. For a 14 year old figure to still look this good is incredible. The neck connector was a problem with many hot toys figures back in the day. I had the original celtic predator and the same thing happened. This figure is possibly one of the most sought after figures on the collectors market, fetching high prices, so is without a doubt a definite grail when everything is taken into account. Oh dear! You are well and truly down that eaglemoss rabbit hole now. Great model, nice details for the size but the colouring is way off. I think i said before but during the 90's i built a lot of sci fi models for customers of the local model shop and built 3 dropships. You had to lay down a base coat of grey, then airbrush all the panel edges in matt black and a top coat of olive green before weathering so it was quite dark. Agree with the score though, its a great piece and worthy of the collection. Thanks for sharing and happy collecting.

I bought this figure and although the elections seemed to be a little sketchy,i purchased Scot Tracy'from Thunderbirds, since then Captain Scarlets electronics, don't work and Scot Tracey's boots sre disintegrating,i also lost £250 pre ordering wonnder woman and never got the figure or my money back,... Great review my friend & for an old figure I think he holds up decently.

Overall a decent figure and it shows that the cheaper 3rd parties can produce quality figures. Would have loved to see it before the weathering was applied, as weathering always seems to be missed by a lot of companies or done poorly. It takes a collector to add the finishing touches and add the final level of reallism. You have done a great job so far. Thanks for sharing and happy collecting.

This is a really cool figure 😎 The mainstream licensed companies may produce all of the popular figures, but these third-party companies are really exploring creativity and filling a niche with these more obscure characters 🎉 Cheers 🍻

I must be in the minority but after owning the VTS version and getting the present toys one I think the present toys one is better in every conceivable way outside of the weathering. The body is better, the arms are so much better it’s not even funny. The headsculpt took me a minute to fully love but it’s absolutely better. The accessories are better or worse depending on what you’re looking at. Guns are worse; but the vest and shoulder pad I think are better and all fit far better to the body than the VTS one. My main positive is the outfit; the leather looks and fits so much better, and shouldn’t flake unlike that god awful VTS one. The lack of weathering sucks but overall it’s so much better than that VTS pleather garbage (even though I loved that figure.)

Never seen the show but i am quite impressed with these eaglemoss replicas and sorry i never collected them when they came out, mainly the aliens and predator lines. Thanks for bringing these alternative collectibles to us, its great to see other options for us collectors. Happy collecting.

Really love this, and not having any presence from The Expanse in my collection makes this very tempting. But I can't help but think there should be some swap out pieces or some other gimmicks for the price. Didn't stop me putting one in my Watch List though, Graham! I keep waiting for a 1/6 reference series Chrisjen to come out. With sound features for some of her best swearing dialogue. A Drummer and Klaes Ashford two pack would be the next most wanted. We can but dream... never know what's going to happen with official and unofficial figures these days.

Got this one, it kicks ass. I would recommend checking out TOTs 1/6 leatherface figures. I got thier 2003 remake leatherface and its my best piece they're killing it

Another great upload. I love TOTS stuff. We have Michael from halloween, Sam from trick or treat and the lament configuration from hellraiser and they are all excellent in my opinion. I actually prefer the figures to sideshows freddy and jason for the obvious reasons. Love Art the clown and terrifier is a great series and pays tribute brilliantly to the nonsense slashers of the 80's. Thanks for uploading and happy collecting.

Great review man and a v nice figure. Trick or treat studios have a few very nice pieces and seem to be improving all the time. Do you plan on reviewing any more from them? Their Michael Myers/Shape 1/6 figures are v nice. Particularly The original 1978, halloween 2018 and Halloween Kills figures. Happy collecting ❤

A genuinely creepy figure--I'd be afraid to sleep with that thing in my home. Will never see the movies since I can't stomach extreme gore, especially against women. But thanks for sharing.

Happy New Year, Graham! I still can't see past the enormous head on PT's Max. It just sets the whole thing off and every other inaccuracy becomes far less important. I really think a bigger body underneath could solve most of the issues. and make that head less of an eyesore. A good dusting of sand coloured paint with an airbrush would elevate it too. I think the way theses toys are packaged nixes the chance for decent weathering as the figure really needs to be full assembled and weathered for consistency. Always comes across to me that a lot of third party figure pieces are sources from a lot of different suppliers and the first time they're actually together is when the figure's packed. Still holding out for a decent Mel Gibson Max before I need a Tom Hardy for my collection, but really appreciate you taking the plunge on these to document their viability.

Hugely disappointing figure. Display stand is a fail. Should have 3D textured sand base. Pleather looks like a cheap looking Sideshow figure circa 2007. So glad I passed.

Great upload and thanks for sharing. Still loving the way unlicensed figures use the mad names on the bases yet on the inner box they go as far as putting mad max on it! Agree totally with you on this figure and have waited to see if you reviewed it before i bought it myself. First saving of the year. Present toys are dropping the ball lately and i only pray the t 800 from terminator on pre order is up to par. I like the headsculpt and the leather outfit but way incorrect proportions for tom hardy and whats with the skinny arms and legs? Such a shame as i had high hopes for this.
