I was sweating and over breathing just listening to the story.

What an remarkable legend ED SORENSON is. Love to hear his stories, his way to react when shtf. and the way he thinks outside the box to solve critical problems during extreme time pressure. Also, his narration of his experiences are of another level. This man needs to get his own tv/youtube show asap. Or else please BlueWorld or Divetalk, feature him more often. I just cant get anough of his stories and the way he tells them. A truly amazing person he is!

Ed has some great stories, and absolutely no disrespect to him…. But folks…. At 16:48 in, when someone is in full rigor mortis, you can break the effects of the rigor, but it DOES NOT break their arms…. All they are doing is breaking down the rigor mortis in the muscle tissue!! It does sometimes make a sound, but it is not bone breaking….

If ya’ll could contact the sidemount BCD manufacturers and ask them to please drop the ridiculous crotch strap in favor of leg loops, I’d really appreciate it. ✌️

100% disabled veteran here. I just started diving and absolutely love it. Watching every single video on scuba I can find. This sport definitely demands a level of respect and appreciation unlike any other. But I’ve learned a funny thing. My PTSD almost completely vanishes when I’m underwater. I fully intend to make it to Florida this winter to continue collecting different certifications. I can’t afford a rebreather or the training for it quite yet. But I’m definitely going to visit Edd and Stacy if just to shake their hands. Both are absolute legends.

I'm looking at the Scubatron. It has a 1.5 liter water trap protecting the scrubber. I flooded my loop before. Almost died.

9:18 The people that implemented the 'no one-way international flight' restriction after 9/11 are incredibly STUPID. So what's stopping a would-be terrorist from booking a return international flight to avoid raising a red flag???

you shouldn't need to dive to test it, just calibrate at the surface with an 02 purge then purge with air it should read 0.2, I suppose you could purge with nitrox 32 or whatever it should read .32, am I wrong? Also a simple box could be made that you can put your sensors in that holds pressure to test them at greater than 1bar.

This episode made me really appreciate my trip in the pool last week. I just started sidemount and wanted to try aluminum's since i have a couple. I've got 5 dives on lp85s/hp100s. I'm new. One thing i learned is why we want matching sets. I had a bottom floaty aluminum tank and a neutral tank. Imagine how i felt in the pool playing with them 😂 my first time with hp100s,at p1, I 16:42 had a few pounds to compensate for wetsuit. Didn't need it. I was super negative 😂 Trim is fun

ABA- always be adjusting. Andy from Sump UK sells really cool sliding d rings and quick release buckles that make it a lot easier. I use them to replace the stupid horrible plastic d rings that come on the Xdeep stealthtec bcd. Those suck, although the rest of the bcd is great. Also get the Xdeep NX series bolt snap- amazing and so easy to clip, even with gloves

I suggest the book "Descent into Darkness" by Cnmd. Edward Raymer, He did salvage diving at Pearl Harbor and all through WWII. His stories are similar to Ed's. Gripping book. It will suck you into, dark sunken battleship spaces underwater Zero visibilty, , filled with deadly gases, unexploded ammo, oil and debris and spongy human corpses. Note: they(the USN)tried recovering bodies from the sunk ships at Pearl Harbor. But the corpses became dissolving pieces/blobs of rotten sausage when attempting to recover . And they quit on the 2nd day.

When Edd was born, the doctor said "Congratulations ma'am! It's a man!' He also pulled the placenta out with him, cause he always leaves the cave the way he found it and clears his line.
