what happened to these bells makes me both upset and especially angry!, as I understand it the church authorities had no interest in them and as the church was never rebuilt they played the "unsafe tower" card as a way restricting ringing!. when they where eventually removed in 1970 the tenor was unable to fit through the trapdoor and in a way that can be only described as " wanton vandalism" the bell was broken up in the tower!, if that wasn't bad enough the lorry carrying them was back ended by a works van and the 5th was smashed in the process!. it's a shame that they weren't transferred like clapham park but equally It would've been good if where just left as they where !.

God is the one and only Supreme Governor of everything and everyone. The Archbishop of Canterbury is the leader of the Church of England. It shows you what a spoiled brat Henry VIII was, doing what he did, because he didn't get his own way.

Rung the tenor there many years ago - as I said 'Go for Double Norwich Court Bob Major' there was an almighty crash which was the tenor clapper ball falling off. The moral of the story DNCBM must be bad for the bells!

When God found out. He was angry. His wrath was on old Catholic Churches and Old Things, including Ceridwen who was as old as a Celtic Pagan Before Romans even. She won again and her children still panic if the bells ever stop. To them it sounds like it should have been dinner time. But it was work time. And witches children are notoriously sloth.

Once apon a time, Ceridwen the evil welsh witch stole a beautiful blue eyed black haired jewish baby. She had heard that the Messiah of Jews was Jesus Christ. So she had waged war against anything Jewish. So much, that God hid it from his people. To spare them. Her baby grew up with magical gifts. She was hidden in France and could talk to St. Nicholas. He told her off, she was naughty like her mother. She was so happy to be disciplined that she vowed to pray and become a Christian. When her mother came to kill her, like in all fairytales - she couldn't because of her prayer to God to spare her and Jews. She baptised her blonde sister in her tears. And ran about saving France and Britain from her witch mother, Ceridwen. One thing they did, was save bellringing. Because it would pacify her mother and all witches. Otherwise we might all perish! ❤
