Is it practised to squeeze the mop by hand in good hospital? Not desired. It should be mechanised.

Yes your right but most of the hospital are giving all the safety kits to staff for there personal safety, and also concern about there health. so it is traditional method.

What is the difference between re exploration and unplanned return to OT. Is there any specific time frame
@BGEnsureConsultancy9 ай бұрын
*Re Exploration Surgery* is A planned, usually scheduled surgical procedure performed after an initial surgery to address a known complication or issue that arose from the first procedure. *Time Frame* : Can range from a few days to a few weeks after the initial surgery. This depends on the severity of the complication and the patient's overall condition. *Unplanned Return to OT* an urgent return to the operating room within a short period after the initial surgery, usually due to unexpected complications.Time Frame: Typically within hours or a few days of the original surgery. The urgency is the key factor. *Timeframes* *While there are no universally defined timeframes, here's a general guideline:* *Unplanned Return to OT* : Usually occurs within the first few days following surgery. The focus is on immediate intervention to address urgent problems. *Re-exploration Surgery* : Might be scheduled a bit later, from days to a few weeks after the initial procedure. This often allows time for assessment, stabilization of the patient, and a more controlled surgical plan.

@@BGEnsureConsultancy Thanks for the information. I work in cardiac operation theatre where we do re exploration after the primary surgery mainly due to bleeding issues. We have set a time frame for such cases. Anything within 48 hrs after the primary surgery is considered as re exploration ( bleeding). Anything beyond 48hrs after the primary surgery during the same admission is considered as Unplanned return to OT. ( revision of graft, valve issues, wound, cardiac tamponade). Kindly provide valuable feedback regarding this.

Welcome @viviancephas51, as I stated earlier there is no any defined timeframe, your hospital can defined their own SOP's regarding the procedure and defined the timeframe according to severity, complication and the condition.

Yes you can follow same step to manage spills. Just required to follow 1 or more repetition of same procedure to ensure no spill are on the floor.
