Do your homework before purchasing. The dealer network bears no responsibility for warranty repairs, service and parts and the manufacturer states they have to work through the dealer network. It’s a Challenging contradiction.

Do your homework before purchasing a Jeanneau. I have a Jeanneau and the support after the sale is lacking. Dealers bear no responsibility for warranty repairs and Jeanneau notes they can only work through the dealer network.

When is someone going to take one of these monohulls and ditch the masts, sails, sheets and winches and fit a full length solar roof with athwartship extensions. You could fit 40, 400 watt panels over a 16m x 5m area and then have another 16 panels as athwartship extensions. That would give you 56 panels and a 22Kw array. In the summer Med that might generate 125KwHrs per day of power. A 60 footer of about 25 ton would use about 2.5Kw to propel at 4kts. You would have continuous 4-5kt propulsion and plenty power left for air con, water makers, lighting, cookers, fridges and all the luxuries of life without struggling with sails in light winds or leaning over at 30 degrees. You would be a "solar" not a "sailor".

As a NC 1095 2023 owner, i can say i am very disappointed with the Jeanneau brand. Problems with my boat: 1.Portside glass window cracked from heat, took 3 months to repair. Known to happen on Jeanneau's 2.Portholes paint (all 4) flaked off, they replaced all 4 with Lewmar. Known to happen on Jeanneau's and Antares 3.Toilet broke from hitting a wake, cheap Johnson Pump, not cover by 3yr warranty. $600 4.Seacock for AC intake set in a hole that floods with salt water every time filter is cleaned. Water has to be manually pumped out. 5.Cockpit awning was not built properly so accumulates ton of rain water. Had to spend money to alleviate the problem. 6.GPS signal receiver was installed on top of the console, inside boat and was giving problems. They moved it to roof top and left a hole in my console. Only thing we love is the twin Mercury's 300 with joystick and Garmin electronics.

Any news on the possibility of ordering a Single Rudder version of the 440, and similar for people who are interested in the 389 ?This Stupid Twin Rudder Fad being put on wide Beam Cruising boats has become totally ridiculous frankly.Twin Rudders only make sense on Narrow beamed Racing boats that have extreme heeling angles for gods sake. On Wide Beam Boats that only heel up to about 18 degrees, they make no sense, and having two unprotected Rudders at the Back of the Boat are nothing but a Safety Liability on a Cruising Sailboat. Do you have a list of Craftsmen who can Remove the Rudders, and replace them with a Single Rudder Kit from Jeanneau by any Chance, if insisting on Continuing with Stupid ?🤔 Bob, who may end up buying a Dufour as they have remained Sane with their single Rudder range, but they have caught the Med Sailboat Disease of having far too deep a Draft, which can be fixed though with the replacement of the Keel, with a Custom Lead Wing Keel. Not a cheap option though.

Thanks for your comment. To be quick, all the boats we build today, with the exception of the Jeanneau Yachts 65, come with twin rudders. Our boats today, carry much more beam aft than boats of 15-20 years ago and the twin rudders really add to the overall performance of the boat, especially upwind in a breeze. Best of luck in your search for the right boat for you. And again, thanks for watching the video and your comment.

@@JeanneauAmerica Sorry, but that is a really Dumb Excuse for making the horrific mistake of shoving a Second Rudder on a wide Beamed Cruising boat, as generally with hard Chines and good below the waterline form, the Sailboats are generally sailing with a maximum Heeling Angle of 18 degrees in all Sailing conditions, and it is the narrow beamed Racing Sailboats with extreme heeling angles that can benefit from Twin Rudders due to the increase in Waterline length which increases the Hull speed. Slapping TWO highly exposed and unprotected Rudders on a Cruising Sailboat is only going to increase the likelihood of Jeanneau being on the Receiving end of a Class Action from people who have had both Rudders Ripped Off, possibly lost their Boats as a Result and needing for Jeanneau having to do some extremely Difficult Explaining to do in Court. Consider Your Company Duly Warned. Frankly, you had better come up with a Single Rudder Upgrade Kit VERY FAST. 😡
@brownnoise357
@brownnoise357 3 ай бұрын
PS. if you hold a piece of lightweight rigid tubing of a length that matches the Draft of a boat at 18 degrees from upright, you will see that a si gle Rudder Will Never lose its hydrodynamic connection with the water, and further you ne er lose the early warning to depower the Sails that is provided by Weather Helm Feedback. That the Commercial Environment is Such that Boating Journalists Dare not State the obvious, for Risk of them and their Magazines being Blackballed and losing Advertising Revenue, with the Best Criticism the likes of Toby Hodges able to make is by saying things like - how nice it is to be able to Sail a Single Rudder Sailboat once again - is really Damning about the present state of what is ending up being fitted on Sailboats isn't it ? Luckily, I am not a Journalist, and I don't work for a Magazine, I am just a Sailboat Sailor who has been Sailing for 60 years this year, and I know Stupid When I See it, and as a Customer I cannot be Blackmailed, My problem is Boatbuilders doing Stupid things to their Boats which is having an unpleasant effect on the Range of Sailboats Selection that I am able to buy, and the same can be Said of the Stupidity of Deep Sradts and the Failure to embrace Wing Keels to dramatically improve the availability of Suitably Shallow Draft Sailboats. I am actually having no option but to consider purchasing a Custom Designed, built, delivered and fitted Custom Lead Wing Keel so my Next Sailboat can have the access needed to enter and live a wide selection of Destinations, still, at least ordering a Custom Mast with an Air Draft of 40 feet is one of the few items to replace, which isn't proving to be an insurmountable or horrifically Expensive Problem to Solve. Very poor interior design below deck is much easier to sort out as well with Jeanneau actually being one of the better interior designers 👍 as others really need a pretty rapid Redesign and rebuild by the likes of SETAG Yachts to turn Boats into Good Cruising Sailboats. Look at the Abomination Retard Designers have inflicted on the Wonderful Umberto Felci designed Hull of the Dufour 44 for example, and all because they wanted to fit a Ridiculous Hexaganol Table in the Saloon, which totally wrecked its potential as a very impressive Cruising Sailboat. Anyway, enough of expressing my annoyance as Constructively as I can, and hoping that Much Related to Cruising Sailboats improves soon. All the Best. 🤔 Bob.

Very Nice! 3 cabin layout? 2 heads? What is on the other side of the dinghy garage? I know the master is on one side, but assuming that the garage is centered in the boat, there is another large space like the one Ms. Guiader was lounging in. Or is that where the master cabin head is located? What is the draft on that particular boat? 110 or 220 volt (European) wiring on the boat?
@JeanneauAmerica
@JeanneauAmerica 6 ай бұрын
Thanks so much for your comment and questions. This particular boat features a master cabin aft w/ private head and stand-up shower. It also has 2 guest cabins forward, each with their own head and shower, so 3 cabins/ 3 heads total. The dinghy garage is not centered. The master bed is on the starboard side of it and there is a nice settee to port. The boat is set up with North American specs which includes a 110V system. This particular boat has a shoal draft keel and draws 6'11".

One of the coldest and least appealing interiors I've ever seen on a yacht. What color is the? Clay mud grey? The wood working (most likely not wood) looks like an apprentice did it. What a far cry from the yachts, even production yachts, of 20 to 40 years ago. Thanks but no thanks.

It's personal taste for sure but there's no doubt that the interiors we're using today are very different from the ones we used 20 years ago. Back in the day, we used real teak but good quality teak was getting harder and harder to find and of course more expensive so we made the switch to a wood that was more renewable and that we had greater control over. The interiors of today are less traditional but offer a lot of comfort and great ergonomics. Hope you will come to the Annapolis show this year where we will be introducing the new Sun Odyssey 350. Thanks for your comment!
