This song hits far too hard than it should…I lost an ex girlfriend. She died from cancer. She and I were on and off again during the 6 months we knew each other. Her final night on this earth, she and an old friend of mine were constantly calling and texting me, trying to get ahold of me, and I never answered. I wanted to play my game contest of champions uninterrupted….the next day I woke up with the worst case of the flu I’ve ever had…and I found out she passed away a few hours after she tried calling me. I’ve always thought, “she knew it was her time…and she wanted to spend it with me. And another…the only two people she really had…” and I just found out about this song yesterday..her death was seven years ago…and the line “I could sleep at night” in this song, it hit too hard…” ironically enough….yesterday was also the anniversary of her passing

The demons Athena mentioned about Odysseus are probably his anxiety from people's high expectations of him and his responsibility as a king. I believe the Athena that said "Don't disappoint me" in Warriors of the Mind was probably Odysseus's delusion because of fear of betraying that expectation.

As someone who's into crossovers (and who wants to give some gods nuance), I like to believe it was Kratos's story that got Athena to change her mind. That, and teaching baby Palutena.
