These are an extremely difficult tree to find, everyone sells variations of it but none true and genetically un modified. I was luck to find one on a trip to W Virginia, dug it up, brought it back to Marion county fl and stuck it in my beach sand. Has grown nearly 2 ft in just the few months of placing it with no formal irrigation. They can be prolific in McDowell county and bear fruit like crazy that is pleasant to eat out of hand. Sure there’s better tasting fruit but we are all spoiled anyway. I hope to have a tree in a few years that will give me a lot of fruit that we can eat and can.

I love the paper towel method. Just cut a piece, plant it in a tray, and pick out and transplant the seedlings. I thought I was not going to have Everglades this year because no volunteers came up. I was cleaning up some stuff in the courtyard yesterday and found one volunteer! I'm sort of scared to try to move it. I found a tiny one earlier and tried to pot it up and take it inside, and it died. I may just put a cage around it and let it grow right there.

It's a great soil additive. Good for you clay soils as well. It even gives me a excuse to sit around a fire.. also you can swap out the compost for fish.

Why would you take a clone of a flowering plant unless you absolutely had to? Honestly all you need to do is dip the stem in aloe after you put in DISTILLED water, but maybe you like mold ? Who knows. But this should say if you absolutely have to clone your tomatoes when in late stages of plant life.
@HowToGardenChannelАй бұрын
I put it in tain water and I don't have a mold problem. Also the bulk of the plants are done for the central Florida growing season. They will bloom but not fruit and will die in the Florida summer. These are for fall when it cools down
