Before all the rich people from Dallas built houses all around the lake and ruined it, there was a huge Marina, and campgrounds. The cove near the bridge had a giant water slide, diving boards, and rope swings. There was a indoor dock that was loaded with crappie. You could go in there at 6:00 in the morning and catch a limit in less than an hour. Sad that it's all gone now.

Biggest crappie I ever saw was on that lake. It was dead unfortunately. But it had to be 2.5 pounds. Maybe even 3. It was massive.

Good morning ! Mr. Russ Bailey. I’m a united state veteran out of the marines and I just had a storage shed fire and I lost all of my fishing equipment due to the storage shed fire and I didn’t have no fire protection insurance at all and I don’t have no money to purchase anymore fishing equipment and one of the items that I lost in the fire was that B’n’m Russ Bailey 8 foot signature series spinning rod that my father gave to me before he passed away on his hospital bed and that was the only thing that I had left of him was that and it is hurting me to my heart that I don’t have it no more. I thank the lord that it wasn’t my house that I live in with the fire it was my storage shed that was on fire. Can someone help me out with another one of them B’n’m Russ Bailey 8 foot signature series spinning rod please. Can someone help me please with one if so just comment on this video with your information please 🙏

Fish this lake constantly during crappie season. I always throw back anything under 11" on this lake and dead lake. 15" crappie are the norm when they're on.
