Windower has options for supersampling. Heck, even beyond what's here, there's also support for HD textures and HQ maps

The Ambuscade weapon "Naegling" gives it a 15% boost, high damage and stat boost. Plus and most important it gives 1% boost per buff that you have... and for this fight you prebuff with extra BRD, COR and SCH to end up with something like 40ish buffs. Using the prime horn that grants the "Aria of Passion" song our group actually does closer to 90k with Savage Blade!

@@McWeenyKen It has far less to do with this and more to do with the 2017 fTP readjustment update. Savage blade fTP values used to be several times lower. That update alone made Savage Blade go from irrelevant to better than Chant Du Cygne (which was considered best practice at the time). Are all the Prime WS's Dark based, or can some make light?

Not really cool that they brought back WS spam strategy. The Prime WS aren't capable of anything past lvl 2 SC. Looks like the end of the road is near.

The TP move is actually "TP Drainkiss" and you can see it display in the left-side log. Una uses a /p chat notification in his macro, where players can call it whatever they want.

Are you trying to imply that I cheated? I did not have Bolter's Roll before engaging the acuex. Also, my game is not modified to give my character more speed. Your baseless accusation is laughable. You can even see the COR catch up to me, and enter Degei's battle-area before my character.

100000% speed hacking.

It saves us a minute or two, which can mean the difference when trying not to run out of time. COR can use crooked cards on bolters after C boss, and the other metals are simply not needed. We've actually failed a few 9-boss attempts, where an extra 60 seconds would've meant victory; time is that tight.

The weapon only needs to be in your character's possession in order to qualify for upgrades; anywhere in your moghouse storage still counts. -Unfortunately, these increases in difficulty will affect anyone that doesn't have stage 4 too, if they Sortie with someone that does. The developers recently made a statement that this was an unintended consequence, since it hurts recruiting pools in an already shrinking playerbase. They've yet to make any announcement on how to remedy the situation.- EDIT: The Devs removed AI changes for EFGH, and made Aminon 'Hard Mode' optional.

@@phairachsingharn9076 RUN is subbing /sch for accession sneak. RDM, SCH, and GEO are subbing /drk for absorb-TP. COR is subbing /dnc for SC-bonus trait. BLM is subbing /sch for ebullience to increase dmg on nukes, especially comet on aminon.

A full review of Diarmuid might come at a later date; but as for PDL... generally there needs to be a balance between Physical Damage Limit and other traits. The more PDL you have, the far greater attack-boosts you would need to fully appreciate the benefits. Stage 4 Aftermath already gives PDL, and the gearset shown has 10% PDL from Dragoon Collar. That being said, I do have a separate gearset I can use if Attack is well over-capped; I just don't show it in the video. -Since we think their Ultimates are automatically used at specific health percentages, I doubt physical damage will bypass these changes. However, we don't know if Prime Weapons have a hidden effect on behavior when actually used in specific ways. Mischief hasn't noticed anything with Prime Staff. It is less than week since these changes, so we are still learning.- EDIT: The Developers removed AI changes for bosses EFGH, after reviewing player feedback. Now, only Aminon AI is altered; AND it is optional.

The RUN, GEO, and RDM all go south to do D shard. COR ports to B and kills 5 air elementals there. SCH ports to C and kills three Corses. I went north in this video, out of habit, because of other routes we've done; but south is actually better when fighting Degei first. We do D and H first, so that cutting cards allows the SCH to "TR" for both Aita and Aminon. Mischief has a full write-up somewhere on FFXIAH forums.

I would argue that our setup is not too far from "traditional", as we have a frontline 'tank', damage dealers, and support. Our composition is focused on magic damage, but that has always been an option in this game. In fact, some of the more successful parties from 15 years ago, utilized skillchains and magic bursts. It is an integral part of Final Fantasy XI's elemental combat system.
