lucky I found this video cause I'm doing this in a week. thanks for saving me the trouble of finding where to connect the wires. Im planning on using an oil galley tap and using yellow teflon tape, as its oil resistant and better for high pressures.

@TrackandBuild18 күн бұрын
@@frankchu7190 with 0.5 qt overfill and accumulator. The larger pan can hold more oil which definitely would help to certain extent but I'm OK with my accumulator setup.

How's the longevity on the RC1 for you?
@TrackandBuild18 күн бұрын
after the 3rd day the tread is basically well below the "wear bar". I would imagine they at most have 1~2 days before cording.

First of all, I want to give you thanks for this video, helps a lot to understand if fake sound is worth it or not... But I would appreciate if you can tell me if do you think that fake engine sound helps to reduce or attenuate the road noise?? I ask you this, because i switched off the fake engine sound in my BRZ, but after this, now it seems to me that road noise is higher in the cabin... So I was thinking that maybe Toyota/Subaru ingeniers design this fake engine sound not only to improve engine sound, but also to reduce road noise with balancing noise frequences or something like this... I don't know, I would appreciate your opinion about it. Thanks!

The lack of clearance between the brake caliper and the inside of the wheel is troubling. If a rock lodges in there... damn.

The easier way is to use a rooted android, enable developer options in the android auto app (rooted), and you can add custom apps, movie apps, KZbin, even mirror your phone screen and play games on your dash, use a ps4 co roller though games are easier that way

The ASC is, for me, the worst sounding engine noise I've ever heard. Massively put me off the car; doesn't help how difficult it is to not have a stock exhaust in the UK. EDIT: I later drove it with the ASC off and it fixes the sound completely - in my opinion. Was awesome.

Sorry if this is a really stupid question, but I have to ask... If we've ensured that there's wheel clearance, and of course the brake pedal isn't depressed, what are we hearing at 10:15? Did your wheels make that noise with the old brakes?
@DamianSheeshАй бұрын
When you bleed the brakes after install, the calipers squeeze onto the rotors since you've pressed the brake pedal. When you let go, the caliper releases, but just enough that the pads just barely touch the rotor. That's what you're hearing. That material will get abraded pretty much the first time you bed in the brakes.

I just want to say a massive thank you for making this video. I spent days and days trying to find this sound on my car (Mk3 Golf VR6) and was baffled. My symptoms were as follows A rotational sound that changed with speed. Being FWD i heard the sound with my drivers side window open especially when I was up against a barrier of some sort. The noise was exactly as in your video, almost a buzzing, grining sound. Oddly enough when I would push the accelerator the noise would go away and when i would coast the noise would come back. It happened in any gear, engine off or on. Braking made no change to the sound. I had previously tightened my axle nut and brushed past it when the noise continued. Little did i know that I had accidentally reused my original nut when I changed my axle some months before hand. By sheer luck I had a brand new one in my boot and upon installing and tightening it the noise was gone. Thank you again!

Man like literally me searching for this exact knowledge and here you guys just nailed it! I have changed both of my rear wheel hubs today for my 14' Forester thinking those were the source and this exact noise just became worse. I'm trying this one next, maybe I tightened the nut a little too much, but it's the exact symptoms, and I can hear it, especially when next to a barrier. Much appreciated 👏

Damn. I wanted to like these so much. It seemed super useful. But, mine does not do this lmao. I literally just got it in, opened it up, and was instantly disappointed. It constantly starts, stop, starts, stops. Then just shuts off before getting anywhere close to the target PSI. Tried different batteries (had a 12.0 on it first, tried 8.0’s, 6.0’s, 5.0’s), different vehicles/tires, etc. 10 minutes of sitting there messing with it to GET ONE TIRE from 20 PSI to 35 PSI.

Man why couldn't they have done that from the start? You want to peacefully cruise, turn off the extra noise, you want to hear your engine louder for some reason turn it on, everyone's happy.
