I was looking for exactly same thing! Thanks for uploading this video. I am planning to buy electrical cycle for office commute of 25kms one way from Bibwewadi to Kharadi. Do you think it'll be practically possible to travel via cycle? Will I get space inside metro with cycle? Is it possible to drive cycle in formals or I'll get sweaty?
@TheIndianCyclist

When the Swargate station opens (supposed to be next month) - you may not even need an E Bike if you use the metro. However, I'm not really sure how viable the metro is during office hours if you're bringing a cycle in - I hear it gets pretty crowded at those times and then there will be no place for cycle and other commuters will certainly not be "cool" with it. You should try the route right now during those times and see. An E Bike by itself should allow you to commute 25km without getting too sweaty, even if you don't use the metro, but I think you will need a space where you can "freshen up" at your office. Hope this helps!

@@TheIndianCyclist Makes sense thanks for detailed review. My decision to buy foldable one or not depends completely on metro usage. I'm 32 years old IT engineer. I need this for some movement and fitness. I travel generally by car but traffic sucks hence need e bike for win win situation. Do let me know if you have some guidance recommendations for my purpose. I am thinking of buying a hybrid 700C cycle for commute purpose. Abhishek, none of this tech is available in the AL series, it's only SL (Carbon) bikes that are affected. Are you getting an AL or SL? The Gen 4 ALs have better tyre clearance from what I remember, that might be something of value to you.

I did 3500 km of cycling in two months and now my GP 5000 str tyres are starting to get punctures. I am looking for something in between that can last atleast 7-8000 km and does not give me punctures but is still not as slow as gatorskin or cinturatos. As I ride usually between 33-35 speeds. Thank you for your informative video for a while I have been thinking about buying this bike because of the comfortable riding. I'm having a great time with the bike right now. I don't think a fundamental design change is coming soon - however, almost all riders report that the latest wedges (rev 4) do fix the problem. I'd say you should check with your store about the wedge in advance, as long as they can deliver the bike with a Rev 4 wedge, you should be good. You don't want to be bringing it back in *if* you have a problem. All the best!

I have a gravel bike and I spend about 90 percent of the ride on road , I do about 10 percent of riding on hard pack dirt. What tire would you recommend? I just purchased some cinturato H tires… @theindiancyclist
@TheIndianCyclist
@TheIndianCyclist 18 күн бұрын
Seems like the Cinturato Velo would be perfect for this sort of riding, which is similar to what I do as well. One downside is they're not very grippy, but if you're riding light trails for short distances, it's just fine. As far as "hard pack dirt", without a picture I can't be completely sure - if this is something relatively smooth, the Velo would be fine. If there are a lot of sharp stones (we get that there sometimes), the Velo is still good, but I can't say I enjoy the ride as much.

Hi. Nice review. I already have a bike computer: the BC500 from Decathlon, and after 3 years it still is working well. However, the head unit is kinda coming off😢 My question is, would my speed sensor work with the igpsport bike computer?

Tried looking at Decathlon's site, but couldn't figure out what sensor you're using. If it's a wireless Ant+/Bluetooth sensor, it should work - but if not, you might as well bite the bullet and get a new sensor too (it will work with all future bike computers as well)

Oakley's lens in the long run are not good. They are expensive with quite a lousy lens to pair with .for your case is just sweat. For mine I use it for boating. Yeah . After your explanation and my experience ...it proves the durability of Oakley's lens is not good. Compared to these better prices more beautiful sunglasses like bliz.And some other normal brands but nice full sunglasses Their lens are more rugged build. I have two Oakley Antix and Batwolf. Both lens doesn't last long . Peeled off exactly like yours.

How and why is superior to a traditional seat post clamp? Seems like irresponsible obnoxious over-engineering, for the purpose of extorting hobbyists cyclists into buying less maintainable and overly-complex bicycles. Seems like something is always going wrong with these, and it’s never an easy do-it-yourself solution

the Fusions are cool as in the design of the silhouette really cements that shield type visor aesthetic which their engineers were going for. In this case, my only complaint is in regards to the aesthetics. I wouldn’t like to carry those big words in bold. Oakley has an iconic design and so does Fusions. It does not need to advertise as fusions, the design speaks for itslef

I've been cycling since the early '80s and never had the issue where a little overpressure wouldn't work. However, I put a Vittoria tire on a carbon aero rim, and it just would not seat. I tried the tank for tubeless tires, and it didn't work. Soapy water with overpressure worked. The tire was tough to mount and remove since it is so tight, and I found that was the issue. The bead sits down in the bed of the rim because it's tight and can't move. Thanks for the tip.

the powermeter is the most important for cyclists, and it also has a cadence sensor. But if you don't have it, this is also good, because driving without data means nothing. Maybe the cadence sensor is too high when it's on the foot?! I've used wahoo sensors on a spinner bike, they're great, but they eat batteries.

Problem is that power meters are significantly expensive! If people are using power meters, they're probably using dedicated cycle computers too :) Must say I'd love to have on on my bike, but I don't train enough to warrant one yet. On the cadence sensor, that's an interesting point - though so far I've had no issues with it being on my foot, the readings do seem to be fine!
