My school does a fundraiser called dots in blue water, where everybody in my school donates money and our science program builds water filters for Haiti. And every year high schoolers get a chance to go to haiti to set these up. I hope I would be able to go!

Here's a bit of a different perspective. I've been to 12-14 of The 1975 concerts. I'm in US and I've lived in Philippines, Taiwan, Oahu, Cali etc. as a child of a Navy Officer. I've been to Manila this year for InTheMix a music fest with The 1975 headlining! I've got many vids up on KZbin. I LOVE EVERYONE as well as anyone possibly could. I've seen diversity, love, hate, charity, compassion, depravation, starvation and humility UP FRONT AND REAL! before I was 15! I'm now 61 and I think I've got a pretty good idea on how this world is. I'm a Christian which defines my every action and thought. I've been to the concerts where Matty was " political" the past few months here in US and also in Calgary. I totally understand he's very emotionally committed to his ideals and I admire him and his band mates for this. Their songs describe their love and compassion in many ways. I'm "liberal" in my love for all. I love my AMERICA and I know that " the youth of today" can be remarkable people. Not all peoples have the freedoms many of you, us have. Just that freedom, fought for and held strongly, just that freedom alone, to speak at a concert and voice his views in my AMERICA tells me America can and will continue to be prosperous in its love and diversity for ALL THE WORLD. I pray that the newly elected president has the wisdom and heart and strength that I'm sure will be absolutely necessary for his position. No president in America has or will ever have "complete & total power" thankfully! Thank you to The 1975 for their complete dedication!

this is why i fuck with this band hard. im so blessed to have stayed from the start. they do not only write songs about love but they know that there is not only one definition of love that exists out there. they know that love is boundless and unshackled and devoid of hatred and apathy. this what they are telling everybody
