The Combo at the end is a pre-facelift, surprised you didn't recognise it as it's mostly identical to the one you reviewed. I drive one for work, and I like dat, I like dat alot. Would never buy Vauxhall but can't complain about it as a company vehicle

This is the best tip I've ever seen on the internet for anything. I was able to fix my Juke following this guideline. I have to say it takes a little practice to get the length of cable and drill speed just right to avoid it knotting up or whirling too much. Took just over two hours. The pipe is just over 300mm long and the blockage was about 100mm long

Thank you for your video. We are visiting Ireland coming from Germany this year. Do you have recommendations, which charging cards are needed? Do you observe that the number of public chargers are growing over the years? To be honest I'm a bit worried to survice with my EV during my stay in Ireland.

Look up O'Riley on KZbin,he fixes this issue properly as in these videos hes only doing half a job, you need to apply dpf cleaning fluid via compression at 130psi & run the engine at 3000rpm whilst reading the dof pressure with a good obd reader, once the pressure is liw enough you need to reset the soot level in the dpf. O'rileys the soot doctor 👍

Hi Jim just wondering ? are you aware that there is another EGR valve on that car as well its known as the low pressure EGR valve these things give their problem also , it controls the flow of gases through the cooler , there is a screen and butterfly that get chocked up , so I would be cleaning that one also , cleaning one valve is only half doing the job , just for your information so that you wont get caught out with another problem later , Keep up the good work
@timothyosullivan29049 ай бұрын
Hi Jim some of these jobs are a bit of a pain in the butt , recently I had two of these cars in the workshop recently for the same problem as you , but the ones I got had been molested before i got them all the rest you understand , I had to remove Subframes DPF Turbo and manifolds to do the job properly , on both had to drill & re thread the Manifolds on both also had to replace the upstream temperature sensors these also had to be drilled out and rethreaded an tough job enough cause you cannot afford to damage the manifold and keep every thing original spec I don't believe in heli coils they can undue over time , so I also got the DPFs cleaned while doing the process and make sure everything worked properly so all done and every body happy

Hi Jim, regarding your other video on this engine with the blocked pressure pipe, I've cleaned it out with brake cable etc and I'm sure some snapped off! Will it hurt the engine? How hard is it to take the pipe off to try retrieve the wire? Cheers
@4157longb10 ай бұрын
First of all thank you Jim massively helped me out. Here’s how it went for me and what I’d recommend to others. Day 1. Followed Jim’s steps exactly. I was at it for about 3 hours but couldn’t get it clear at all. Brake cable kept wrapping around itself, getting stuck on the pipe bends etc. After reading some comments I realised that some qashqai’s have a slightly different pipe that has more bends in it. Mine happened to have more bends making the job harder! I tried some electrical cable to no avail. Day 1 and I gave up! Day 2 Bought some carb cleaner from screwfix for £5. Sprayed quite abit down the tube. Did away with the plastic outer of the brake cable and went directly into the pipe feeding it down. In and out multiple times, but still couldn’t break it clear. ***Top Tip which eventually solved the issue. ** - Force the brake cable down the tube as far as you’ve progressed. Snip the cable about 1 to 2 inch above where it comes out. Then attach the drill, turn and feed. Once there’s no more play. Take it out, spray more carb cleaner. Cut another bit of brake cable 1 to 2 inches bigger than your last and repeat process. Keep doing this and bingo! Will break clear and you can move the brake cable in and out freely. Turn the engine on and watch all that soot splurt out!! I hope this helps people and thanks again Jim. You’ve saved me £100’s but at the cost of my son’s brakes on his bike! 😂

Jim thank you so much for your videos! Life saver! Can I ask, do you know if a blocked/clogged EGR valve will cause juddering when the engine is under load - that's what I'm experiencing and I'm trying to diagose. My exhaust gas pressure pipe was blocked too, such a common fault. Thanks again
