did i need one? no, but I wanted a 4x4, and thought about my options in my area. 1st gen Tacomas, reliable, bullet proof, perfect for the sand, but I was tired of little 4 bangers, i want some power. V6? nah, more power, but nothing that i’d drop money on. V8 was the answer, so what kind? Well, each manufacture has its golden egg motors, but I wanted a Chevy. Between the gas and diesel, I researched the best v8 motors GM made over the years. And it came down to the notorious 6.6L LBZ. So I began my hunt, was about to ship one over seas to hawaii, and then a miracle happened. Some old dude had his daughter make a facebook account just to post his 2006 sierra extra cab LBZ! Ended up getting it for $9k with 130k miles🔥 No blow by, bone stock besides a 4” straight pipe exhaust, and just needed a front end overhaul and love. Just recently i finished doing all the essential mods and servicing, now she’s running beautifully 💛 short video on my channel of when i finished all the egr deletes and piping/intake.
