Some time ago, maybe a year or so, i heard "Pulaski at Night" on some movie or tv series soundtrack. It immediatly made me grab shazam so i could find who was it from. From that momment on i dived into Andrew's work and i've been drowning on it since. All these comments put toghether what i could say about it... "unpretentious love of music" may be the one that sums it all. The way Andrew puts his heart out through his work... makes me feel really fortunate for knowing about him and all the beautyful things he does and makes us feel! This track in particular it's... it's... it's like the kind of thing you always been trying to get from music. It's like everything you always wanted to listen without knowing. When are you comming to Portugal, Andrew? You will love the food and the weather, for sure! And we will be so glad to have you! If you get anywhere near this country i'll be there, man! When i find you are coming to Europe you bet i'll be there!! Loved to watch you on Fargo too! That whistling scene at the kitchen made my day! :D

Seeing him live in Chicago in the early 2000s was always a treat. And he just keeps getting better.

Anyone know the theory with going to FM to CM, then EM to Am, DM to B7 to resolve GM? Probably a classical trope (certainly classy), can’t figure it out. That EM is so crucial but the hardest part to explain.

It’s another Birdism. He knows exactly what he’s doing. Let it inspire your own idiosyncratic/atypical/unique/original progressions. I have.

@@AntonVanDerSaroh you know what brother- it actually really makes sense from a C Major perspective. I think I got it. But as far as Bird goes, what you said is the bigger picture.

DANCE CARIBE You were a shameless child Bandied by stiff cross currents Anything but mild Yes and no just simply weren't Invented yet Oh yes oh no Then one day you'd had it Exiled your close advisers Ousted your dog-eared rabbits You're through with pacifiers You're through with pacifiers now Here we go mistaking clouds for mountains Here's the thing that brings the sparrows to the fountains Here's the thing that makes you run for the highlands Here we go mistaking clouds for mountains Autonomy

Enjoying a longer version of this video (kzbin.info/www/bejne/gYaniWuJd89qncU) at the tail end of my "stay at home" stint... My dryer was "singing along"...hitting that high D we hear 3:09 right on queue and in perfect timing and harmony with the whistling ....l.o.l...Something I never would have been so delighted by or likely even noticed if I wasn't in the state of "flow" created by listening to Andrew... :))

If memory serves us, then who owns the master How do we know who's projecting this reel And is it like gruel or like quick drying plaster Tell me how long til the paint starts to peel Is it like Pyramus or Apollo or an archer we don't know Though history repeats itself, and time's a crooked bow Come on tell us something we don't know Now who's the best boy and the casting director And the editor splicing your face from the scene It's all in the hands of a lazy projector That forgetting, embellishing, lying machine That forgetting, embellishing, lying machine They say all good things must come to an end Everyday the night must fall How it all came to this, I simply can't recall Too many cooks in the kitchen How the mighty must fall But I can't see the sense in us breaking up at all I can't see the sense in us breaking up at all I can't see the sense in us breaking up at all Breaking up at all And it's all in the hands of a lazy projector That forgetting, embellishing, lying machine
