Our SDS MK4i krakens always spike well above 100 amps but do fine. Make sure your batteries are in good condition and you apply current limiting in code. Ours are limited to 100A.

More specifically 2" silicone-coated plastic tube by Vex and a standard 1/2" hex shaft covered by a 1/4" thick silicone tube

Usually using odometry(tracking wheel movements) and tracking the april/aruco tags with a camera.

A combination of odometry (wheel rotations and gyroscope) and AprilTag vision targeting.
