The movie was just built up, which isn't bad however I can also understand why some people didn't like it. I love it and can't wait for part 2

I was surprised how much I enjoyed the movie. Nothing like I was expecting it to be but the cinematography was incredible. To be fair, I couldn’t motivate myself to watch it in theaters but I streamed it last night and loved it.

Im glad you enjoyed it! I have to agree I think I would be way more enjoyable to watch at home, and I’m excited for the next film but, I’ll probably wait until it goes on digital to watch it.

I can see what they were trying to do, but it was honestly terrible in my opinion. So many flaws, aliens had pretty much superpowers, but in moments were dumber than a fish smacked over the head with a rock. I give it a 3 out of 10

Just to add, the movie Paul shows more respect to Aliens than this movie did.

I think it's the last fifteen minutes of the film where some people were gonna be divided. I thought I was gonna be one of them, but the way they delivered that scene, I loved it.

You're totally right about everything! Just the plot... I think it was the weakest link by far. This multiverse stuff is simply not interesting. I don't care about the TVA enough to care, I haven't watched Loki

Yeah! It’s a metaphor for the dissociation and stress a lot of trans people feel, SPECIFICALLY older trans people who don’t know that they’re trans. You know something’s wrong, and feel like you’re lying, but not what you’re lying about. For people that haven’t had this particular experience it can be hard to understand. Overall in my opinion you have to also look at what they don’t say, like when Owen says he doesn’t love anyone, then at the end saying he loves his family but them never being shown, and how we know his father is abusive, but barely being in frame.

The movie was horrible. You’re making more of it than what it is…or was.(the complexities?) It was pretentious and weak. And trust me, I got the underlying “messages” but, it was delivered poorly.

As a fan of the original I have to say that I thought this was a much better movie and it’s not close. I thought the character development was much better and the motivation behind what their doing hit more. All of the characters were pretty likeable (other than the gum chewer) and there were tornados galore. Great theater experience.

Don’t understand the hate for this movie he’s its generic but I don’t think it’s terrible the action was decent and I liked the setting and small town feels and beautiful New Mexico vibes and I enjoyed it enough despite its genericness
@masoncarothers6515Ай бұрын
Honestly I like it. It doesn’t hold a candle to the original (Nostalgia bias) but for what it does, it does so goddamn good. Easily the best movie of 2024. And let’s be honest, given the schlock we get outta Hollywood (in my opinion) this is a high mark.

This was the worst movies I have seen in a long time. If Hallmark and AI script writing had baby. Dialogue and characters were cheesy, basic, awkward and rigid. Turned it off little over halfway through
@zazymendezАй бұрын
The ending was a little confusing but it wasn't too bad. The movie seems a little under written or on a budget. For example the amount of money inside the atlas bank looked small, or I could be wrong never have I seen 20 million dollars before anyway. Other things obviously took a good portion of the finance like the chase scene with the armored truck through the graveyard. The action scenes were decently done too. The scenes with people being X'd out were shot executed well (get it shot, executed lol). The latter half of the movie was pretty funny. Although going into it I was thrown off with the way Adam DeVine and Nina Dobrev's character were written. I thought the cop was a pretty well written good guy that is the antagonist of the story great dynamic with the in-laws Pierce Brosnan and Ellen Barkin. The in-laws on both sides of the couple were well contrasted. Side characters were especially funny but only for brief moments wish there was more of that. Altogether coming out of watching it to share my thought I think it was fairly good nothing I haven't seen before or done better, but that's mostly the fault of the screenwriters and whatever plans they got from producers or directors. All the actors did great on their roles, and yes that includes the screeching of Adam De Vine .

It was all downhill after the first scene when a “trained” military member somehow couldn’t shoot a bad guy with a machine gun from 5 feet away. 🤦🏾♂️

SOOOOOOOOO B🥱🥱ring. I made it almost halfway through before I deleted it. And why are movies constantly trying to force upon us these unbeatable female "Special Forces" characters? 80% of physically fit military trained men wash out of SOF schools but we're supposed to believe 150 pound Jessica Alba's character is a skilled "Operator". 🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱
