Okay, after playing this on switch…it looks like the game is designed with the slowdown of the n64 in mind. Because holy hell that slowdown in the forest makes it look so much more consistent to play.

Tip hold down on the left joystick to jump higher and make the part town skip easier

Great run! I used to play this game with my dad growing up. I would always start out with Seawolf at Fremantle and head towards the gulf of Thailand. Great encounters there!
