I love Vince what he accomplished in that Rose Bowl game is my favorite sports moment ever, but Colt is and was my all time favorite Longhorn. My son was born in 2009 and his middle name is Colt. Beyond being a great player he was and is such a quality human being. When Mack was on the sidelines and Colt was under center i was always so proud of what the team stood for.

Colt, I went to UT Austin in 2008 and witnessed the greatness of your time there. I don't care what everyone else thinks but it was you who made me proud to be a longhorn. There is nothing but respect...

did anyone else catch why he was jinxed? he was born in new mexico and mr. mccoy put that Texas dirt under him. He’s #2 (#1 VY) for now, I think arch is going to have the honorable mention of THE GOAT @ UT when it’s all said and done. he was born in Louisiana without the Texas Dirt 🤘🏼

If only they would have driven over to Seagraves, none of the bad would have happened to Colt. Lucky he had the dirt under the bed, no telling how bad things would have been for him.

This was an amazing video as a big Colt McCoy fan when he was at University of Texas. But honestly I loved when Rachel McCoy said how she can show the interview of Colt after that national championship loss. To her daughters to show them this is how you handle adversity and how to handle losing. That was powerful which you all the best in the chapter of your lives.

I feel sorry not only for the people she stole the spotlight from that day but also (and even more) for her. Judgement lapse, probably. Mental health, who knows. The fact is that her entire life was defined by this single action and she had to deal with it until her final days. If there is an afterlife, I wish her to find peace in it and second chance to do things right.

Colt and Jordan Shipley were a great combo. Greg up watching Jordan as he was from the same small town as me along with Stephen McGee (Aggie Qb). Jordan’s father was also the coach. His little brother Jaxon was one year above me. He also went to UT.

I remember thinking Colt and Brady Quinn were both going to be special players in the league, honestly especially Brady Quinn. They both had the look and aura of the next generation of top qbs following Brady - Manning, but they both fell into the worst situations at the time and I guess just werent good enough to succeed in those predicaments. I think them situations are way bigger than any one player especially very young(rookie, 2nd yr season, etc) to succeed in. Idek if Brady or Manning couldve succeeded on them early-mid 2000s browns if they were drafted to them teams as young players in the nfl
