How much would it cost to build this motor from ground up ? Serious question, 20k plus .

Impressive! They also do billet blocks now which would solve the 40 year old block issue you were talking about on someone else's reply

There is a lot happening with holden 6s at the moment. One thing for sure, I can recommend the JZED head, great product and with right setup, 400hp is not that hard. Billet cranks also, vacuum pump, inverse flank roller cams etc, there is plenty more life left in the holden 6...
@paultodd23752 жыл бұрын
Very impressive there wouldn’t be to many 6s that could make that power without a turbo

What are the specs of this engine?? Love it !
@jgkk58624 жыл бұрын
12:1 compression, 250@50 solid flat tappet cam, JZED head, forged HONDA size rods and custom ROSS pistons, half grout filled block, girdle and ASR sump, triple 48 webers with 42mm chokes. Fairly common mods to the bottom end, key is cam and head. Not too big so brings on torque curve early but big enough to boody to 7000rpm. There is probably 30-40hp potential on the table if I went solid roller with more lift and duration but there is only so much a 40 year old block can take.

Hey mate nice I’m doing a 202 also and looking at the jzed head, would you know what cam you are using(part number)? Trying figure out what size to run to get similar hp
@jgkk58622 жыл бұрын
@@tristannelson4886 This was a custom cam to my specs mate. There is no part number that you can quote unfortunately. However, around 254@50 intake with .360 lift and 260@50 exhaust. Keep the lobe separation between 106-107 and you should be very close to 350+hp. If you use a roller you could go a bit bigger everywhere but keep the LSA the same

Neato! Much love for the old 202. I'm always tinkering and working with them myself. A greatly under-rated little motor.

Makes 300hp at 5400rpm, torque peaks at 4500 and holds to within 15ft/lb right up to 6800rpm.
