I dont understand why Coleman was the winner, he had size but he had terrible midsection with a bubble gut and he doesnt have 6 pack abs, its only 4 pack and his abs looks wierd. Gunter and Leverone was looking much better than Coleman. In my opinion.

Мне ближе Шон Рэй и Кевин Леврони, но эту Олимпию выграл Нассер Эль Сонбати. Это видно и профессионалу и даже любителю. Просто потрясающая форма, рельеф, наполненность и объём мышечной массы! Жирные и завистливые судьи отняли у него победу. Не исключено, что его победа сыграла бы в его жизни важнейшую роль и кто знает, может он сейчас был бы жив.

no he didnt - jay lost most of the shots to an out of shape ronnie - what planet are you jay fans on? i like jay the guy - but he had so many weaknesses. ronnie dwarfs him and he is massive himself.

I dont need to argue my view. Jays full and shredded. Ronnies midsection is starting to give in. Pretty sure he also tore his lat at this point. Theres comes a point where size isnt enough. Thats why Bodybuilding started going off track. I'm a Frank Zane fan by the way so our taste is clearly different

Ronnie looks like hes holding too much water as the posing goes on Jay is edging him out. Jays calves and thighs are more proportionate than Ronnies. His calves look too small compared to his massive thighs, like a Big Ramy. 98 and 99 Ronnie were great, hes softer and off here.

@@EricJMyrick shredded? he doesnt look shredded at all from behind - he looks soft and soggy - like he always did. from the front he is also wishy-washy. You can't remotely call him shredded when on the stage he is standing next to dexter the blade and victor martinez. Jay's plus points - he had enough mass to look ok next to ronnie in some shots, (without winning any except for maybe ronnies 2 weak shots -side tricep and abs n thigh). Just because Ronnie is below par, and clearly he was physically deterorating/melting - he STILL looks better in the front double bi, both back, lat spread, look and pause at 8:04 its not even close...

Even in 84 the Weiders and the Olympia were cheap with the prize money. It took Arnold (with his business degree) to show them the true way of revenue sharing and sponsor support, for them to finally bring up the prize money and share some of the sponsor spot light so they could get more investors.

jay never had any details from behind - and his glutes were always soggy and soft. his most striated look is still soggy compared to others.

Shawn looked so much better this was political. That gut on yate was so bloated. He is likeable great team player but did not look good. Except back. This was corrupt. I always wondered how these guys knew you were going to have to be peeled to crack the top 6 at the 88. Go look at the previous 3 Olympias and they all still had a little water weight.... but the 88 saw DeMay, Gaspari, and Strydom all scale back the muscle to get ripped to the bone. Gary Strydom and DeMay look like they lost 20 solid pounds of muscle from the previous 2 years. Later both of them will put back on the 20 plus pounds of muscle when they join the World Bodybuilding Federation that did not put an emphasis on being ripped. Lee had the secret, he was peeled but still had all his size.

The camera work is annoying. They change to weird angles right as they hit their shots so its difficult to compare.

I think Jackson or Martinez won this. Im not sure if Coleman and Cutler had bad tans or the lighting sucked where they stood but I can't see their definition clearly. Jackson and Martinez looked like an artist drew them. Coleman and Cutler where huge but they look messy. It's subjective obviously. So either way, it is what it is.
