@munchymcmouthington2983 жыл бұрын
as I understand it, sprite lighting is used to create stuff like dappling. While you can apply it to any old sprite, Unity has "Sprite masks" in mind. see: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fGbPaamGbpV4rLc

One little tip for 2D lights: try to avoid Point Light, because it's crazy on performance. Much better choice is to use Freeform Light and then change its form as you like. This saved me up to 40 fps. Another thing to do: don't use a lot of lights in your game. Just 3 lights are enough to kill your FPS. And lastly: if you want your game to be very optimized and run on any devices: don't use any rendering at all. You can get +- similar results by using transparent sprites and applying colors to them, along with playing with alpha to make it look more Light-ish(?). You can find a video about these transparent light's on Blackthornprod's channel.

You know how I can darken the whole map light up parts of it using that transparent light method?
@goodgamershow65052 жыл бұрын
@@Djinn667 I would simply go for darkening the texture pack of yours. Or putting a giant semi transparent box, making its colour black and setting alpha to kinda 0.3-0.4. It will also look like it's dark
